No idea, tapatalk is a bag if shite, tempted to remove it if it is doing stuff like that.

Can you message me a copy of the email including the headers?

It must have been the settings on tapatalk from when I had it. I downloaded it again and deselected all the notifications and haven't had one since.

I'm now getting automatically subscribed to threads (even the new one just started on tonight's game) so I get alerts on my phone every time someone posts in them. Can't find a way to stop them except to individually unsubscribe from each thread. Anyone any ideas?

It started doing that on me. Go into your push notifications settings and deselect the option to be notified when someone posts in a subscribed thread. I'm nearly sure there is an option somewhere about automatically subscribing as well but the former will sort that.

It's sent from Tapatalk itself - one I got previously was from trending@tapatalk.com - can be turned off in notification settings in the app or through the manage preferences link at the bottom of the email.

Here's one I got yesterday:

Please don't.

When the client is properly configured it works perfectly.

It is literally the only app that you can use to reasonably read and follow a forum on a mobile phone.

Edit: It is also brilliant at giving you a quick view of threads you've participated in (as opposed to ones that you're subscribed too)

I can't even login to Tapatalk anymore. Says my username/password is wrong, even though I can login on my computer using the exact same details.

Not a huge deal, except when it comes to posting, which is kind of hard on mobile.

Odd. That's been sorted. Are you on android or iPhone?

I reinstalled tapatalk after Ben fixed the rawk tapatalk plug in and everything is working fine now.

Wholeheartedly agree. The only problems I ever have with Tapatalk are of my own doing because I haven't adjusted the settings to suit my preferences. It's the only way I browse RAWK on mobile.

Third this. It makes the forum much more readable on mobile. The notifications are user controlled and can be turned off in the app settings (or left on if you do want notifications, I find the notification when one of my posts gets quoted useful).

Rather than get rid of Tapatalk, just start banning people who don't remove the signature in the Tapatalk settings.... or maybe give them a warning first if you're feeling generous.

Probably a stupid question, but couldn't a mod change the default Tapatalk signature to a blank space, or just a "." or something?

I suggested on page 1 that a word filter could change it, but why the site should have to do anything technical at all about what is under the user's remit, is a good question.

It creates a slightly different signature depending on the model of the phone, so RAWK would have to create a million different autocorrects, and Tapatalk could change it at any time.

To eradicate it fully yeah, I gave an example of something else I liked too that could be done with the generic words :) I'm not au fait with Tapatalk mind so maybe it does vary too much.

But whatever, as above, it's for the users to sort.

I like Tapatalk on the whole but it often says I've no new posts in a certain part of the forum (usually the ticket threads) yet when I click into them there are new posts.

I got so fed up of being wrongly banned by Tapatalk that I went looking for the classic version (2.4). I uninstalled the current one, turned off auto updates on Google Play and now I'm not banned anymore.

I got mine from here via an Arab site: www.dropbox.com%2Fs%2Ffh4ghtt0quxb4gr%2Ftapatalk_classic.apk%3Fdl%3D0
