Lets watch the tank in action. Fucking best signing since Suarez for me !!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw3TLhhO7v8

Love the cross at 1.44 - doesn't dwell on it.  Didn't give the back 4 a chance to settle & sticks it in the danger zone with pace.
Really like his positivity when in position & his crossing seems decent - with Downing & Enrique on the left Carroll will be rubbing his hands in anticipation.

'Siempre es posible' - my eyes have seen the glory...

I know stats don't tell the full picture, but it's always nice to see good stats for a player we've just signed.

Just a random set of numbered comparison that are not 'like for like' so fairly irrelevant. Let's see how he goes and hopefully compare him to a Newcastle left back- Alan Kennedy!

Walks right into the first team (Figuratively. After a bedding in period), improves our squad and first 11, has got his best years ahead of him and cost a pittance.

What about this signing could you not love?

At this point we have 4 left backs all of whom I rate in Enrique, Aurelio, Insua and Robinson. I think Glen's LB days are well and truly over.

I know I'm not, I know that anybody I know who goes the game wouldn't be. They tell us nothing unless they are put into some perspective and properly analised. A bunch of stand alone comparison numbers with no context, worthless.

We all know how he does on the pitch is what it all comes down to but no harm in looking at a few stats from last year to see how he stacked up to other left backs in the league. Just because you and you ''match going'' mates aren't interested in stats doesn't mean you have to behave like a bellend.

They are playing in different teams, in different formations, in similar positions. What are we comparing?

Comparing how often he completes tackles and passes as well as how many people got past him last year in the league. Not a complete picture nor would anyone judge him on stats alone but all the same it's good to see that he doesn't give much change to anybody.

They all play left back for their team, in same division coming up against the same opposition. Most of the time.

Quite pleased with Enrique, however, as already said, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

I haven't studied him to any particular length that entitles me to an opinion but there are plenty of pundits and 'experts' who say it's a good deal. More important, Kenny says its a good deal.

Onwards and upwards.
