Just a throwaway thought...

I've seen in other sports sometimes an injured player will with the coaches (like in a coaches' box in certain sports) during a game and during the week they would be even be in watching a few sessions and around the coaches trying to learn things off them and analyse things. Wondering if it is used often in football? From the outer it seems like injured players just do their recoveries separately and have chats with coaches but are not really involved with the main group. Would it be beneficial to allow certain players (as long as it doesn't affect their recovery) to follow the coaches around while their out so they can have more insight into the team's tactics and each player's roles, especially their own roles when they return? This gives them more of an opportunity to understand the tactical requirements of the game while they are physically doing nothing but recovery which will hopefully help them improve a bit more when they return, at least mentally. This could be especially beneficial to newer signings like Keita. Or would it be too much of a nuisance for the coaching staff?

That's an interesting idea, as I'm sure they don't spend 8 hours a day in the gym or recovery. It would also help the mental health side of recovery, being outside, around the squad, and following the teams development and tactics - which could change a lot in the case of a player who's out for a year.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.

Neither Mo or Sadio will be playing this international break or next, gives us a real help managing their freshness

Thanks for bumping the injury thread during an international break mate, then starting it by mentioning Mo and Mane, that didn't cause me any panic at all!

It is good news though
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

wasn't he full speed up until the barcelona injury in May? That's just ~4 months.

He had an injury in March, came back and a month later picked up the first groin injury, came back too soon and no hes got that one. I wouldn't say he's been 100% at any point since March to be honest.

No reason to rush him back. I'm sure the Staff agrees!

Adrian had a solid game last time and will have had more time with Klopp during the break. He should play against the Toons.

I’m sure we’ve some midfielders who can play there instead of Naby rather than having to play Adrian there.

I just pray Baby Keith can finally put his injury woes behind him and show everyone who has written him off what a great little player he really is.

I've been banging the Keita drum for ages but my mates (who never watched him at Leipzig) have finally been worn down to the point where they think the hype was ultimately undeserved. I'm proper desperate me for Naby to become the player we know he can be and prove me right!

Just be patient re: Naby. It's not like he's a Lallana or a Sturridge at this point.

I mentioned it somewhere earlier but it bears mentioning again - Naby is a guy that will spend about six weeks a year out, based on his past injury record. That sounds like a lot, but it means he would still play a solid 40+ games a year if he comes back hitting the ground running and none worse for wear. The good news is, throughout his career he's had injuries, but they've never been debilitating - he's come back strong every time. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Achterberg on Alisson...

“Ali has been working with Dave [Rydings] in the gym a lot to improve the strength and try to keep the fitness levels up,” he said.

“In the last few days he has been out on the pitch to do some catching and footwork, as well as small passing drills.

“He has made steady progress, but it is difficult to say how long it will take or how it will progress. It needs time and we cannot look too far ahead, so we take each day as it comes, see how he feels, and then make progress from that.”

So he's gone from being on crutches to doing light training and ball work in 5 weeks, but you think he will be out for another 3 and a half months?

I mean, I know people like to be negative, but COME ON...

He's two weeks away from being back, tops.

I dont think he is going to be out for either 2 weeks or 3.5 months

I dont know how long he will be out for, i would have been worried had we signed another keeper as it was rumoured we were looking at Vorm even after Lonergan and Adrian signed.
