Edit: consensus seems to be that it bounced off him rather than him passing it backwards


Tough one to call this. Hegazi is about 3 yards from the keeper when he strikes it and you can see arguments for both cases there. I think Refs tend to err on the side of caution with those, given so few are given.

A definite upping of the tempo (if not quality) from us in the past 5 minutes or so.

It's apparently insanely windy in the ground with the air swirling this way and that, making it difficult to judge the flight of the ball (as Foster just found out).

About 5 minutes left to go here and Liverpool will be rueing a score of missed chances in the last 15 minutes of the game. Incredibly frustrating to watch bad touches and poor passes time and time again.

Whilst we're making a Horlicks of things up the top of the pitch, we're also leaving ourselves vulnerable on the counter.

Each player seems to be about 10% off the pace today for some reason, unless the West Brom players have been on the special Polo mints since Pardew took over.

We've been much better since Gini came off. Goes to show you should play with 11 men and not 10. He was truly anonymous tonight. Another drab affair for the reds. Pardew, Allerdyce and shitty premier league referees ruining my week with anti-football and shit officiating.

Solanke's touch has been awful too, it's bounced off him time and time again and he's played balls to noone. Not even ready in the slightest for the big league.

We huffed, we puffed, but it looks like the dancing c*nt will sneak out with an undeserved point.

Something is going on with us and officials, we are getting nothing, and in some cases are getting completely robbed. 3mins added was a fucking joke too. We've had one decision go for us all season, Mignolet at Stoke and about 15 shockers against us. We'd be well clear in second if referees/linesmen did their job. Deeply frustrating, especially when you see the favours City, Arsenal and Utd get.

I think Lovren, Klavan and Karius were the only fully sober players in red.
