Can't see Sky letting BT have a game where Man City could (potentially although obviously not happening) win the league though.

BT get 12 first choice picks per season. No idea how many of those they have left though.

They sometimes have Sky games at 5.30. Last April us Everton and United City were both on Sky on the same day.

So am I right in thinking then, because it is a Bank Holiday weekend, kick off time could be:
Fri 8pm
Sat 12.30pm
Sat 5.30pm
Sun 12pm
Sun 2pm/2.30pm
Sun 4pm/4.30pm
Mon 8pm

With possibly 5 of those options subject to further change depend on European fixtures!

Great.

Package E states that each club can have a maximum of 4 Friday night or Monday night matches. Up to the last TV announcement, we'd had 3 (Palace away, Wolves away and West Ham away), they then announced 2 more Friday night matches (Southampton away and Huddersfield home) so 1 more then the maximum allowed. For that reason I don't think that there is any point in trying to predict what day we will be pencilled in to play Newcastle as they'll just do what they want anyway.

Considering our draw in the CL and the dates for the semis, I think its unlikely they would move the Newcastle game to a Friday or Monday.

You would think so. Can't take anything for granted, but got to fancy us to be in the semis and any tv people will surely be planning for/thinking the same.....

With 4 English teams that could be in the semis of the champions league, I can see them having a Saturday evening slot just to fit as many as those 4 into 3 TV games on sat (12:30/17:30/19:45) that won't be moved on short notice (with 1 on Sunday that would swap with a knocked out team if they go through).

Heard neville say sky are showing all of Liverpools games in the run in,  so that would rule out a Saturday 530 as that's BT sports slot,  wish they could announce them sooner.
No time for caution.

There's only one game left to announce and its newcastle away. And it will all depend who's left in the champions league

It is BT's slot, but Sky have shown one games at this slot this season

Sky basically control the run in.

Unless they decide to have us and City play on the Saturday, we're either going to get a caveat or we're going have to wait until after the Porto game.

I've not heard any rumours on week 37.

But as things stand any of 4 could be in the semis. They wont know which of them today.

They'll release them on the proviso of "If X team reaches semi final game could be re-scheduled".

I can't see them making fans of all clubs wait until 14 days before that weekend to find out when their team is playing.

Of course they can, when have they ever given a 2nd thought to the match going supporters?

True but what we do know is Sky will show the title run in and the only way they can guarantee their chosen games don’t get moved due to potential Semi Final involvement is to play them on the Saturday. That still gives them options to show Arsenal & Chelsea on Sunday or Monday. Man Utd’s trip to Huddersfield, 30 miles down the road would seem a good game if they wanted to caveat a Saturday 7:45 or Sunday game.

That is far too sensible an option for SKY to decide to do. If any game is in the balance, it'll be ours.

Given 7.45 Saturday games are a regular thing next season it really wouldn’t surprise me if we get one 7.45 and one 5.30 and they have a mad Saturday night they can hype the fuck out of.

Thats a good point and exactly the kind of thing that Sky would push for.

I would have no issues with us playing at 19:45 and winning the title in Newcastle on a Saturday night  :)

If we end up playing the CL semi on the Tuesday after, do we know when our game will be moved to? No mention of it on the premier league website. It'll be Saturday but what time?

Nailed on the semi will be Wednesday I reckon. What if us and united get through there isn’t space to move us both back. I think they’ll have spoke to uefa and we’ll be Wednesday 2nd leg

Opens the  possibility of winning the league in Newcastle on a bank holiday weekend,  which would be quite something.

Depends if United get through.. if so one of us will have City's slot and no doubt a 19:45 kick off with City going the Sunday.

I'm not sure if that would happen.  Sky and the Premier League won't care enough about the Champions League so they will probably leave us both on Sunday if the game is Wednesday.

Edit - might have mis-read that. Obviously we would be moved if CL semi is on Tuesday

If the 2nd leg is Tue the 1st has to be Wed so cant be Friday.

Its ridiculous that 1 champs league game is 6 days apart and one is 8 they should just make both Tuesday or both Wednesday.

So deffo no way we can be moved to the Fri night? That's the only one I'd struggle to get to so hopefully that's the case.

Could be moved to the Friday night if Porto put us out. If we make it to the semis I don’t see how that Newcastle game can be anything other that Saturday. What time on Saturday is still a mystery though.
