My particular favourite was the "Thanks Yanks - More Friendly Fire!" one.

Up there with the Don't Bomb Iraq - Nuke Manchester banner. I remember some taking offence at that, "Don't they realise that if Manc was bombed there'd be nuclear fallout in Liverpool, etc. etc, etc".

Oh, yes the Purslow cock one. That was deffo offensive to anybody with a cock.

That was me ma's 75th birthday. I got her a ticket for the paddock, roughly around the same spec as where she used to stand in the Paddock with my Dad (both had seasies for the paddock when it was terracing but gave them up when they put the seats in).

Me ma loved that protest, she'd had quite a bit of gin and it was difficult to keep her away from it.

That's the way to protest.

Maybe someone should send a link to the Mancs so they do the same in Gdansk.

Yup - as mentioned yesterday, offence is taken not given. The 'Yanks Out!' was unambiguously clear - it referred to two specific people of that type plus their underlings.....

I had a lot more choice names for them, usually involving the words fucking and c*nts. Yanks, Cowboys, c*nts, Cancers, every name fit.

Anyone around at the time understood what the Yanks Out was about and I certainly didn't have issues with FSG buying us, I wasn't arsed that they are American, I was more interested in what they did with the RedSox.

Yup it came to light over a short space of time from some American posters on here at the time that those two where in it to milk it but quite the oppisite to Henry who came with good vibes.

I was never keen on the 'cancers' tag, simply because for too many people it's a subject of grief.

Cancer killed my Mum in 2007 and these c*nts were killing the club I love, so on a personal note I wasn't bothered by it. I can understand others not liking it though. I'll never forgive the c*nts that on the night of the birth of my youngest son, I came home from the hospital and spent a couple of hours sending emails to the names on Fat Scousers list to stop the bastards getting the refinancing.

My bike fairings are in Rothmans colours and I hated them at first after her death, due to the ciggies giving her the cancer that killed her, but my mates say leave them as they do look great on the bike.

They've had their meeting with the club this week. "Dialogue remains constructive and positive, and we now await detail and concrete answers. We are set to meet again on Tuesday 18 May 2021."
