Mate Luis Suarez is and has been loved in Liverpool as much as any player since Robbie Fowler.

Only Fernando Torres comes close, and there was no challenges with Torres. There was no controversy with him, no media backlash. Our love for him was never tested by bans or anything.

You need to realise that for Liverpool fans; the fact that the media hates and castigates Luis just makes us love him more.
Thanks Brentie...i hope Luis will read your message.
Cheers.

Why can i not start new threads?
To me that is a mistery.
Have i done anything wrong to anyone?
Have i insulted any person?
Am i not entitled to start a new thread because people can not understand my written english?
Maybe because i love Luis as a player?
Maybe because i am an uruguayan person?
Because i grew fond of Liverpool and now i love the club?.
Sometimes i think that somebody is hating me for some reason...
Well...In spanish language we have a word for it= DISCRIMINACION  :'(.

Few believed me...
But i knew he was a great player.
Everybody thought i was biased...ha ha...
But...that was long time ago...and there is not reason now to discriminate against such a nice chap like me :)

I seem to have stumbled into the wrong thread, Uruguayan36 - my flawed hero.

Back to Suarez, I saw on twitter the other day a Swedish LFC fan met Luis in a bar and got a picture took with him.
He said he asked him if he was staying and his reply was "Of course I am" or words to that effect.

I didn't ever think any differently to be honest.

Merrick,Staniforth,Byrne,McGarry,Wright,Dickinson,Matthews,Broadis,Lofthouse,Wilshaw,Finney.

Just a few quiestions, please.

Any of those players played for Liverpool?

Were those players, and that team, any good in english football history?

Any of those players would have been good enough to play football now?
Thanks.

He'd be more entertaining if Stone Cold was saying 'What?' after every question.

Fucking hell, when Robert Mugabe thinks you're a bad person, you really might want to think about having a look in the mirror and cogitate about sorting your life out. Or at least have a bit of a sit down. I mean, he is a Chelsea fan, and to be as fair as I can possibly be to the man, with his record on human rights and genocide, his utterances on violence might be construed as somewhat of a mixed message. But nonetheless, he's a President of a whole country, so that's got to add a little gravitas to what he's said. Certtainly, when he's not busy torturing people into voting for him, stealing land and authorising state sponsored murder, he's the go-to-guy for moral authority.

In other headlines:

On the next United Nations General Assembly session there should be a voting about Luis Suárez to make it clear what is the exact position of the countries of the world on him. What we know currently is that David Cameron and Robert Mugabe are against him and José Mujica quite probably supports him (Uruguayan36 could confirm this). I think it would be quite important to clear this up before the next PL season.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpol-robert-mugabe-criticises-luis-1912492
Quote
Harsh critici-zim: Now Robert Mugabe takes aim at Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez's troubled season has hit a new - surprising - low, writes the Sunday People.

The controversial Liverpool striker has been lectured about his behaviour by none other than Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe.

Uruguayan Suarez landed a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic at Anfield last month.

Now tyrant Mugabe, widely reviled for decades of misrule over the African state, has weighed into the debate by criticising Suarez.

The 89-year-old, a self-confessed Chelsea fan, said: “It was highly unprofessional for Luis Suarez to bite Branislav Ivanovic.

“Sporting events are contests and not declarations of war.

“Contests come at various levels. We have contests here in Zimbabwe like Dynamos versus Highlanders – those are contests at lower levels.

“They must train participants to recognise the reality of sport.

“Sport is sport – it is not war. But football seems now to have become a biting game. And a professional using his teeth...?”

How exactly does the seeding work for the league cup (capital one cup) work? Is there a possibility we'll be scheduled for a game in the 2nd round? I was looking at the schedule from this past year, and we had a 3rd round tie after our 5th premierleague game. Thought it might work out in our favor if we were placed in the 2nd round so suarez would only miss a probable 4 premierleague games opposed to 5 or 6.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

I looked at this before.

Iirc, by playing in the second round, he will be back in time for the third round.  Still five league games before that.  It was always going to be five league matches and one league cup match.

Luisito will be in South America for three or four weeks, I think...

Uruguay will face Venezuela on June 11th...(Luis is suspended for that game).

But between June 15th and 30th he will be playing for Uruguay in the confederations cup.

Hopefully he will be ready to play for Liverpool in Australia on July and I will be watching him in Melbourne... :)

Later...he will have to fly back to South America to play for Uruguay(September 6th and 7th).

Everyone through the club, Ayre, Werner, Rodgers and Luis have all said he's happy to stay. At some point we actually have to believe what someone says at the club. It really isn't a healthy environment to constantly ignore what they say.

We got Suarez a lot cheaper than we should have because he was suspended for biting. If we were to sell him, he would go for a lot less than he's worth because he's suspended for biting. We'd be mental to sell him this summer, if only for the fact that we wouldn't get his true worth.
