The Feb fixtures have been announced and the difference between BT and Sky is quite interesting;

BT have what I would call three top class games (not the quality of the game but of sides) Sky have one (maybe two)!

Quality over quantity indeed, it makes a change from when ESPN/Setanta in previous years have had Hull v Fulham esque games

West Ham v Swansea (Saturday, February 1, 12.45pm)
Liverpool v Arsenal (Saturday, February 8, 12.45pm)
Cardiff v Aston Villa (Tuesday, Februay 11, 7.45pm)
Arsenal v Manchester United (Wednesday, February 12, 7.45pm)
Chelsea v Everton (Saturday, February 22, 12.45pm)

Sky Sports live games in February:

West Bromwich Albion  v  Liverpool (Sunday, February 2, 1.30pm)
Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Sunday, February 2,4pm)
Manchester City v Chelsea (Monday, February 3, 8pm)
Swansea City v Cardiff City (Saturday, February 8, 5.30pm)
Tottenham Hotspur v Everton (Sunday, February 9, 1.30pm)
Manchester United v Fulham (Sunday, February 9, 4pm)
Newcastle United v Aston Villa (Saturday, February 22, 5.30pm)
Crystal Palace v Manchester United (Sunday, February 23, 1.30pm)
Norwich City v Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday, February 23, 4pm

Wow, they got Liverpool/Arsenal and Arsenal/Man Utd. Must be 2 of the very biggest games for Sky.

What's the biggest Premier League game for Sky in terms of audience? Liverpool/Man Utd?

Arsenal-Tottenham.

Or you'd think so given MotD put that on first.

I read somewhere BT Sport had about 18 Premier League games which BT Sport have the first pick, SKY went with most of their first picks early doors so expect Man Utd v Liverpool in March to on BT Sport.

Just thinking about this today and how much more lucrative the CL will become. BT paid double the previous deal and the clubs in it from 2015/16 can expect a larger amount than they are getting now.

Looking at it from our perspective it's the right time (it's always the right time) to get back into the CL and play some catch up in terms of revenue.

Didn't expect them to bring Gray back. From Des Kelly's Twitter it sounds like it isn't a one off either:

Welcome to Andy Gray, who joins the @btsport team on co-commentary duties. Starting tomorrow.

Anyone know when Sky and BT announce games for March? Hoping to find out dates/times as visiting family.
Monday is the best guess at the moment. There was a Sky advert in the Metro saying they have "45 live matches until the end of the season" or something - so obviously they've sorted it out, no idea why they aren't announcing it.

I can only think the reason they must be keeping Owen around is he's on a long contract or something. He's a shite commentator, nearly any of the ones they've used on their European coverage would be an upgrade.

I reckon the "guest appearance" as they put it will be used to monitor the publicity and feedback around it - if they don't get too much of a negative reaction they'll bring him back permanently I reckon.

Credit to the cameramen at BT who made sure they panned around the stadium when possible so the pretty sight made from lights from the mobile phone was shown. Ditto the efforts to keep Coventry's protests in view

I'm guessing they want to keep Andy Grey news lowkey till they know the reaction given what was revealed during the scandal at the end of his time at Sky.
