Loan move. Um. Goes in line with me thinking we're becoming the new Aston Villa.

Bet you were gutted when we loaned mascherano too then?
Thank Fowler we're not getting Caulker

If its a success, we can have a go at signing him as Madrid will most probably sign Modric and we may be able to get him to stay longer.  If not, he can move on.  And if he decides to move on after a stellar season, so be it.  We can try and fill the gap with a different player since we would most probably be in a much better position than we are currently.  Don't see what we have to lose from this deal.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Loaning world class talents and half decent squad players is completely different. Villa wouldn't have a hope in hell of attracting Sahin, I find it amazing that anyone would be against this deal.

One thing to remember is when Rodgers signed Sigurdsson on loan from Hoffenheim, the option to buy was not included but they still tried to sign him and would of if Rodgers stayed there probably.

The way I see it is if he impresses we will talk to Real in January or next summer and take it from there.

and it's 70% of his £120k wages but lets not forget loans are never 12 months. It will be a 9/10 month loan. so we won't be paying him a full years wages.

Plus it's practically September that he signed. So late August to late May rather than July from the start of pre-season.

I don't know much about the lad. I just hope he's what we need, wish him all the best and hope too much pressure isn't put on the lad. The demands and amounts of expectation we heap on players is out of order. Good luck to the fella.

Just wow can't believe we have managed to secure the signing of such a talented player even if it's on loan. Welcome to the most special football club in the world Nuri and we will make sure you never walk alone.

People moaning about this need to get a life. I presume they are just negative people by nature........that or just incredibly ungreatful miserable gits! It's not your money and only the accountants know how much we really spent on this. Be happy we managed to get an absolutely sublime footballer to this club in our current situation albeit it for just a year as it stands. Who knows we could fall in love with the place and end up staying permanently! At least we no longer need to endure Spearing and Adam in the team anymore thank God. Just watch how much difference having quality like Allen and Sahin will make.

Absolutely thrilled :D

If he stays injury free he will be great for us, I have no doubt about that. He is top quality and within a couple of games he should be back to his top level which is right what we need.
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Great transfer for Liverpool but it would be perfect if there's a permanent buying clause.

Anyway his playing style is very suitable for the Premiership. He has so many long range passes and also quick short passes.

His freekicks are also special, he could be real rifle-man if he'll trained truely.

He is not a DMC, you should think him as a MC.

For example he's not as defensive as Yaya Toure, Lassana Diarra, Javier Mascherano or Nigel DeJong, much like Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas, Xavi or Sneijder.

Shame on Jose that he couldn't manage to use Nuri who has the Bundesliga best player award in previous season, i hope Rodgers will manage that.

The owners can't win for some people on here.

They don't invest enough in the playing squad, therefore they are bad owners.

Then when they do put up the cash for a top class talent the same people complain that we are being mugged off.

Very good player, definitely not world class, but will be a fantastic addition to the squad for the year, and if we can get CL and he features heavily, who knows?

One more striker and maybe a full back, and we'd be sorted really, assuming no one else departs.

If you ever met me in person during the last 2 or 3 years and asked me who I'd most like to see in a Liverpool shirt... I'd have said Nuri Sahin.

I regrettably allowed myself to get excited some days back when the twatterati were blowing their loads early on - I knew it was a mistake but I couldn't push it away. What we've got now is what Rodgers wants in midfield... control, in Lucas, Allen and now Sahin. We've also got a sweet, intelligent left foot for balance. What we saw against Hearts the other day was a complete lack of control in the middle.

He'll take time to settle in, as will the triumverate as a whole (and it will change and rotate) - but by October/November... I reckon we'll get into gear. I see many people doing line-ups etc and sticking Gerrard on the right 'to accommodate' the three in the middle, but I think we'll see Gerrard given a free role, because that'll be a great, inventive, clever, solid midfield. Delighted.

Great loan for sure.We desperately need a striker though or even Dempsey if that's the case cause having Sahin in the team means nothing if you can't convert your chances into goals.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.
