Is there a tree or plant that is growing and partially blocking your dish?

Used to happen to mine before I moved, some channels had no problem, others were awful.  Could also be a misaligned dish of course.

Go into the setting and check the signal strength and quality.  I imagine one of these is the issue.

Cheers. Just done that and the signal strength is about a quarter of the full box.

No trees or plants out the back though where the dish is so don’t think it’s that.

Gamble - what’s the LNB? Cheers.

The white knob receiver facing the metal dish, which has your black cable going into your house. Google “lnb satellite”

You can buy a replacement for about £10 off amazon or eBay. Are you any good up a ladder? Can screw it off. Sometimes the f connectors on the cable are a bit tough to get off due to weathering.

Failing that, find a satellite/tv aerial bloke to come over and swap it for you. Common part so they have them in stock.

Can anyone recommend a good accident solicitors? Was told about a firm by a relative but turns out they're a bit dodgy. Plus their fees seem extortionate.

My firm have a good PI dept. PM me

Mal Kirwan used to have a good name amongst the biker groups as a personal injury solicitor. He died in 2011 but the company is still going.

Flying to the Uk and need to hire a car, landing in Stanstead but going back via Luton.

Has anyone got any recommendations for which company is any good? I take it that they all do the 'different drop off at airport' scheme?

Also will be needing a car seat for the 3 year old. Cheers

I don't know about the car rental bit, but I would recommend taking your own car seat for the kiddo to use on the plane and then when you're in UK.

Car seat weighs a tonne, they wouldn't let it on the plane! Flight is only 2 and a half hours so he'll be ok.

Not sure where to put this so thought try here.

I purchased tickets for a Robbie Fowler meet and greet with Event with Legend at the start of May. The May 9th show got cancelled but I have the chance to meet him again next week in the same town.

The catch is he is doing the show with Ruddock and Merson. Fowler is my favourite of all time. I literally just wanted a pic with him.

I have emailed event with legend on numerous occasions about what the seating arrangement is going to be like. Will all 3 legends be together, or at separate tables. Separate is ideal because even if i get the pic with Merson and Ruddock I wouldn't be fussed as long as I get a pic with Robbie.

I am still to get a reply, and it is pissing me off. The event is next week, and I have the option of a refund, but don't know whether to take it or go to this event

I literally just want one with Robbie. Has anyone been to an event with legend event with multiple legends that could provide insight into how it's done?

He's doing one on Belfast this coming Sunday. There's the option of meet and greet or standard tickets. Says on the site if you get a meet and greet, you will have the opportunity to get a photo with him.

Hi thanks for getting back to me.

I have the meet and greet option from the cancelled event in Birmingham that has been automatically allocated this one with Merson and Ruddock.

But I just want to know how the meet and greet is with 3 legends. I literally just want individual photos, rather than all 3 together. Because I just want to meet Robbie. In probably wouldn't even stay for the show. Meeting Fowler and a photo with just him is all I want. Nothing against Merson and Ruddock.

Surely you can just say you want one with Fowler and the other two can take 20 paces to each side so they’re not in the picture.

I met Robbie Fowler back in 1994ish when him and Ian Rush opened the Liverpool store in Belfast. Both of them signed my shirt.
Met Paul Merson in 1998. Middlesbrough were staying in the same hotel as us, the Haydock Thistle I believe, before the Coca Cola Cup semi final. Mikkel Beck seemed about 9 feet tall.
Never met that other fat fuck though. Wouldnt want to either.

That's kind of my position. I'm a male in my 20s. I only actually ever saw Robbie play and was my hero.

Don't get me wrong, all I have to say is "can I have just Robbie please" but I don't have the balls in front of that many people. (Imagine telling Razor Ruddock to move out the way :D)

That's why I'm hoping they are on 3 tables each.

I get that mate. Solve it thus. Ask (before any pics) if you can get one with just Robbie.

Get one with all three and then you get one with Robbie. You don't feel like a t*t  and you can bin the photo with merson and ruddock.

Haha that would be absolutely perfect. I just don't want the organisers to be like "Okay that's your lot mate" and move me on if I ask after instead of before.

I definitely will ask though, I think they will be more lenient considering I booked onto the Fowler only event that got cancelled and could of easily asked for my money back. I suspect there may be a few in my position. I honestly wouldn't recognise Neil Ruddock if I walked past him in the street. Never saw him play, only stories.

No harm in asking.

Honestly, don't even worry. They'd be absolute idiots to argue. If you ask for a photo with just Robbie aswel I honestly can't see anyone arguing

I wouldn't recommend any puppy being left alone for that amount of time to be honest.
They need house training, socializing with other dogs and a lot of time invested in them to reduce the risk of behaviour issues further down the line.

Maybe try Roxy's dog advice thread for more informed opinion though.

And you’ll also need to take a minimum of a Fortnite off work when you get a new puppy to house train and socialise it. They’re also bloody expensive if they get ill.

60 seconds in a minute X 60 minutes in an hour = 3600

That's touching the ball and keeping it elevated more than once every second.

Not sure if this should be in one of the techy threads …

My daughter wants to store photos of my grandson and was saying should she use CD/DVD/USB, suppose USB is OK but would cloud storage be better ? I have the free dropbox but that probably isn't enough as the photos nowadays produce huge file sizes so does anyone have any recommendation for a payed cloud service ?

I see dropbox gives you 3 TB for £10/month but I have no idea how this translates into number of photos etc. and if others are better/cheaper as she is a student so not sure she could pay that anyway.

Cheers

Google Drive / Google Photos is prob what you’re after.

Personally I’d also keep a USB with them on, just in case.

3TB is a shit load of storage. As an example, I've got a folder on my PC with 84 wallpapers, all high-quality 4K photos and it's only taken up 91mb. You could store an entire movies collection on 3TB.

Whatever you do, if you really care about the data, always store it in more than one place, and that doesn't mean having Dropbox or Google Drive syncing to 2 computers.

Personally I use Google Photos (paid for so I can keep original quality, but I don't have that much), plus a NAS (have a script that runs every day on my computer syncing my Drive with my NAS).

Via my sister-in-law, I have managed to get free tickets to see Take That for my Mum and her sisters (my aunties) this Thursday.

It's at Anfield and the tickets are in the standing area.

My Mum can't stand for long periods due to health issues. Does anyone know if the standing area is usually packed out? Will she be able to stand at the back and find somewhere to sit/lean?

Whatever happened to that mumsnet thread? About the CL final and the wedding?

Did anyone attend it? I had a look on Mumsnet but the thread hasn't been commented on since 26th May - just wondering if it got picked up somewhere else?
