Not sure if anyone is still doing this anymore but how does a France / Slovakia double look for Friday? France will surely be too strong for Belarus even with their troubles. Macedonia aren't quite as bad as I'd have hoped but Slovakia came through a fairly tough group (Slovenia, Poland, Czechs, N.Ireland) to qualify for the WC and they did beat Italy there- had a fairly good home record through qualifying too. Macedonia don't tend to lose by a lot but they did lose away games to Norway & Scotland in their last qualification campaign - it might not be pretty but 2-1/2-0 or something to Slovakia I reckon if I was guessing. Might give this a go starting with that double.

I wouldn't touch France with a bargepole at the moment, certainly not at 1/3.

I know what you mean mate, but I think Blanc has too much quality and class not to beat Belarus at home. New manager, new optimism, and hopefully the troubles put to one side for now. The few that have been troublesome are banned as well. Fancy France...

Right I'm having a go at this starting with Phil Mickleson for a Top 10 finish in the WGC at Sheshan this week.

Not quite evens but near as dam it at 20/21.  Last years winner and by all accounts this course is tailor made for the bombers and WILL be won by a big hitter.

If lefty finishes last i'm off to join Skittle in the corner and won't be visiting this thread ever again. ;D

Stage 2 sorted - banked the extra £6.98 and on to stage 3 -  40 quid on Sociedad DNB tonight at 6/5

edit: Sociedad 1up after 66.  Just laid them on DNB for 40 quid at 2/13.

Ah Well. Stage 3 turned into a non event as Atleti hammered Sociedad in the end and the lay covered my ass.  Try stage 3 again tomorrow.

Bent and Wellbeck look big doubts for tomorrow so Gyan alone up top. Leaning towards Everton DNB at even money.

I'd hold fire on that - Bent's in training since last week, and there was a piece in today's paper quoting Bruce as having a selection headache from having 3 fit, on-form strikers.

Cheers. Just been reading that Bent is pushing for a start.  IF Bent, Wellbeck and Gyan are all fit to play and are in the squad then it's Sunderland DNB.

Or may just swerve it all together.

Left tonights game alone and lumped the whole £56.98 on Nadal tonight at 2/5

A Nadal win (hopeully) will take me up to 80 quid and i'm still on track.

Moved onto stage 4 ya clever bastard.

Phew!!

Was always a risky bet with Nadal not playing for a few months. Sort of Watched the first two sets on my iPhone looking at the betfair Market changing prices and guessing what was going on.

Prised the remote off the missus and Tuned sky in for the last set and layed nadal at 4-3 to cover me stake as I still wasn't convinced with Nadal.

Anyway, 76 quid for stage 4. Maybe Munchen DNB or Arsenal to score both halves.

Split my stage 4 into 2 sections.  From the $76.51 in the pot - 20 quid (2x5ew) on John Parry and Matteo Mannassero in Dubai as backups to my main bet.

Arsenal to score both halves tonight at 9/5 - The remaining $56.51 on this.  A win (hopefully) will take me very close to Stage 5 target of £160

If the Arsenal Bet fails the golf may just help me get back to a previous stage. If Parry wins it at 180-1 then fuck it game over  ;D

Messi has scored in his last 8 games, 70 goals in 71 games or something stupid. Wincast is normally around Evens. I'm gonna start this with him after the Classico.

Valencia (-1) at home to Almeria at evens

Almeria are 1-6-5 for the season, conceeding 18 goals, 8 against Barca ofcourse. Almeria have scored 3 goals in 6 away games which leads me to think they won't score at Valencia.

Valencia coming off the back of destroying bursaspor, Soldado, Joaquin and Mata all scoring and linking up well, Aduriz set up 3 goals and looks confident, i can just see them taking Almeria apart

Oltra has just replaced Lillo as Almeria manager, Oltra got Tenerife relegated from La Liga, he's 41 and not particularly highly thought of, Almeria apparently wanted Gorosito or Jesualdo Ferreira (ex porto/malaga manager) infront of him

20 pound on Valencia -1 returns 40

I'd be wary of Almeria and Valencia.

Valencia are inconsistent and wouldn't be surprised to see Emery rotate the team for the weekend. They lost to Mallorca and were held by a poor Zaragoza side both at home.

Almeria apart from the 8 they conceded v Barca had a decent defence and Alves is usually a decent keeper. They went to the Calderon recently and held Atletico to a 1-1.

Just be wary

Great to see this thread up and running again.

Possibly Bet 1: United -1.5 @ evens, but going to have a good look around.
Both teams form currently makes this a little dangerous but statistically and historically this is a highly likely event.

Edit: Gone with this @ 11/10
