Slightly nervous about HArry instead of Didi (assuming Sky are correct of course) However may be that Rafa is going for an early shock and awe approach then bring Didi on to hold it?

Well, we may as well not turn up eh. Vialli recons Rafa has feced up by choosing Kewell.
And that as Milan's defence are the best in the world, there is no point going 'at them', so Kewell, Baros or Cisse - makes no odds.

i'm bricking it doesn't really qualify as a constructive pre-match comment...

i will be interested to see if Rafa does follow through with the rumoured Cisse-Kewell pairing...

perhaps Didi is carrying a knock about which we don't know. But then Igor has done quite well in Euro matches, while Kewell has done...

not much...

maybe the plan will be to set about them early, like we did against Juve at home, then bring Didi or Igor on to shut up shop if we get an early lead...

read on the boards that the weather in Istanbul was "cold;" was that an early morning post perhaps? anyone have a forecast for the match this evening?

Somehow I had a funny feeling it would be that line-up!

Hey, I see it only going two ways. Kewell has a blinder or a terrible game. Quite as simple as that.

Baros will persist and work his socks off no matter how he performs. And Cisse will come on regardless of how the game is going.

The aim here is just to stretch their defence as much as possible. Baros covers the width of the pitch, and Kewell will threaten that left side and the area in the hole. This shall cause Cafu to think twice about going forward as there is also Riise around.

To me, a good selection with the element of surprise. But, really, if we win, good selection. If we lose, bad selection.

Kewell will play in the whole, im pretty certain.

We'll be off on adrenaline from the kick off and baros will try and run them ragged....Gutted for Didi but I hoped to see us have a go at them at the beginning and it looks like that's what will happen.

when did he kick him out of the squad? I missed that.

I know he sent him off to Spain to sort out his injury, but I don't recall when he was kicked out the squad.

spot on, lad. I hate all this cautious nonsense. It's ok over two legs, but we have to go out and win the game, and if we lose so be it, but at least we had a go at them. We might just see an exciting European Cup final for once
