It's almost as if these multi billion dollar sports fashion companies know what they are doing.

Go figure  ;D

Or because the Chelsea away was only released end of July? ;)

My 3rd kit arrived today, stadium shirt. It was a birthday present so the same size was bought that I normally wear. Fit is fine, material is fine, quite like the design, the red is more pink than the pictures show.
One day, it will happen

Likely down to the new sponsor (much cleaner logo) bounce and spending all that Hazard money (again) on new signings which kids want. Also that huge increase shows up the glory hunting hordes amongst their support who weren't interested in Chelsea and/or didn't buy last year's. Plus - and I'm sad to say - a classier looking home kit than our Welsh NT one.

Chelsea haven’t had a decent home kit in years, including this one.

Its the blue isn't it? Pavlovian. Look, I throw up a little in my mouth just admitting it but it's far less fussy especially around the trim and collar. Their third (inspired by their fellow Londoner Hodgson's brave fight to keep Crystal Palace competitive) is equally horrendous as ours though.

I showed my boy all three at the weekend. He wasn't impressed. Keeping his precious Alisson black/gold shirt for another season (good lad) although you can imagine his fume when he spied the Barcelona away.

Our away kit is apparently the best selling of all aways though, regardless of when it was released. Which will probably shock quite a few in here who hate it! ;D
It sure surprised me.  :o

Since its release I've only spotted one kid wearing it, and that was yesterday on the Wirral. I'm yet to see a single one on someone in Liverpool, and that's even after spending a few hours at the ground last Thursday and seeing lots of visitors there. All I'm seeing is the new home top and training tops. Anyway, it's good to it's being bought somewhere by someone. It's still an abomination though.  :P

You are buying the away shirts in bulk just to get the numbers up, aren't you?  ;)

Kit sales with a number 6 on the back are about to send us back to the top of the pile.

Sales are down on last year, except for the away kit, apparently.

Seems like a weirdly massive increase for Chelsea.

probably because Nike made a kit that is worse than our last 3 home kits

Yeah strange, as also wore Nike for the international games.

Footballers wear blacked out boots when they are being offered new sponsorships, so they can test them out. Robbo had blacked out Adidas in training leading up to the Leeds game, but wore Nike in the match.

I only found out today that the LFC Store cancelled my order. Can’t be bothered to find out why.

Two of my mates ordered new shirts, both took over a month to arrive.

My other half ordered a few bits for our lads and when it arrived they'd picked the wrong size (and another was missing all together). Emailed them and explained and was told to return it and they'd send out the replacement. Replacement arrived and was the same, incorrect, size. This was over the course of about 6 weeks by this point. Emailed them again and reported the second error, but despite the frustration told them not to bother sending a replacement again because by the time they had it would barely fit them anymore anyway, and we'd just gift the incorrect item to a friend. They told us they'd refund the amount of the item "within 3-5 days". Two weeks later we're having to chase them for that.

In the run-up to last Christmas we ordered various items, which was all in stock at that time. For context this was a couple of months before Christmas, to avoid any rush. Roll forward a month and nothing had arrived and our order was now showing half the items as out of stock. Come the week before Christmas half of the order arrived and the club cancelled the other half with no forewarning or explanation.

Honestly, it's a fucking shambles the way that the retail side of the club is run, and has been run for what feels like forever. I went on the club store last night to look at ordering a couple of home shirts for our lads for Christmas and half the sizes aren't in stock. If that's the case now, God knows what it'll be like in two months time. Supply chain and logistics is clearly nobody's priority at Liverpool Football Club, but if I was overseeing that area I'd be wondering how many hits they're getting to the club store, and to specific items that are out of stock, which then drop off without a sale, and what the possible lost revenue figure there looks like. And that's without getting into the absolute mess in and around that.

LeBron walking around in a Thiago 6 shirt will give those sales a bit of a boost one should think....

Sales of this seasons shirt up 20% on last season according to the Athletic.

"The absence of any real sell-on value, given that he will be 33 when his contract runs out, was deemed unimportant given the relatively low transfer fee and the commercial benefits his signing will undoubtedly yield. Shirt sales since Nike took over from New Balance as the club’s kit supplier this summer are already up by more than 20 per cent and Thiago’s arrival is bound to fuel demand further."
