I only found out today that the LFC Store cancelled my order. Can’t be bothered to find out why.
Two of my mates ordered new shirts, both took over a month to arrive.
My other half ordered a few bits for our lads and when it arrived they'd picked the wrong size (and another was missing all together). Emailed them and explained and was told to return it and they'd send out the replacement. Replacement arrived and was the same, incorrect, size. This was over the course of about 6 weeks by this point. Emailed them again and reported the second error, but despite the frustration told them not to bother sending a replacement again because by the time they had it would barely fit them anymore anyway, and we'd just gift the incorrect item to a friend. They told us they'd refund the amount of the item "within 3-5 days". Two weeks later we're having to chase them for that.
In the run-up to last Christmas we ordered various items, which was all in stock at that time. For context this was a couple of months before Christmas, to avoid any rush. Roll forward a month and nothing had arrived and our order was now showing half the items as out of stock. Come the week before Christmas half of the order arrived and the club cancelled the other half with no forewarning or explanation.
Honestly, it's a fucking shambles the way that the retail side of the club is run, and has been run for what feels like forever. I went on the club store last night to look at ordering a couple of home shirts for our lads for Christmas and half the sizes aren't in stock. If that's the case now, God knows what it'll be like in two months time. Supply chain and logistics is clearly nobody's priority at Liverpool Football Club, but if I was overseeing that area I'd be wondering how many hits they're getting to the club store, and to specific items that are out of stock, which then drop off without a sale, and what the possible lost revenue figure there looks like. And that's without getting into the absolute mess in and around that.
