You know, I know I'm a picky twat, but... There's also something that bugs me in that scene. They're walking along that bridge and Cobb questions Ariadne and gets pissed off. Something along the lines of:

"I know this place, this place is real..." (Albeit having to resort to memories of his wife and he kissing on the bridge)

Ariadne says something like: "Yes, I cross it every day to get to School".

Did he not see that big massive pointy thing in the first few minutes that he was standing there that almost anyone in the world could recognise?
