Klopp plays a canny hand yet again. Liverpool pissed on them. Serie-A is poor stuff these days and Shrewsbury will probably give us a harder time than Milan did. But our boys were excellent.

Not much to take away from that for me. Here's what I got:

-the San Siro pitch was a disgrace
-Anybody saying we should sign Kessie you can safely ignore
-Nat Philips should have just taken a dump in the center circle while he was at it with how bad he was making Milan look
-Konate was great
-everybody else was just below great

I think Milan took till the 85th minute before they realised they needed to actually win the game to stand any chance going through.

Such a tepid performance from them given the circumstances surrounding the structure of the table. Our guys did mightily well but they had a team that couldn't seem to create any attacks or sustained possession against them

I love Keita's little lay off passes to put our attackers into space. It's a simple action but it can be very effective in building our attacks going forward

I thought him and Ox ran the game tonight. Tyler looked like he had played there for us for years. The benefit of having a system across the club. Pep will be spewing because we played academy players.
We looked far too powerful for them. This ref was alternating between shit and good.
The number of time they pulled our players over was stupid.
Though Divock was a handful. Konate is imperious and Nat with that filthy turn in the box was… Nat.

No one will want to draw us in the next round.

Yeah, it was once we'd took our forwards off they starting to commit forward, but even then they didn't have much against our reserve back four and midfield.

I think the eleven on the pitch got a far easier game because Mo and Sadio played. They were terrified of our pace and refused to trade blows with us, as they knew if it started going end to end we'd eviscerate them, like we did Porto. So really we had quite a comfortable time, I mean Mo and Sadio didn't really have to do that much running really.

29 in 67 starts I think against 11 in 100 sub games. Yes Origi can impact off the bench but he's hardly a mug when he starts. It's just that he's often peripheral if he's not doing something utter memorable 😃

It was nice listening to Liam Brady on RTE being effusive in his praise. Ex Liverpool players like these moaning wanker Ronnie Whelan take note.

Corners were terrible like and we kept getting them.We had the big lads in the box but the delivery was poor.

Then again theirs were badly delivered just got lucky with Minamino's mistake.
