It's for security reasons, to predict how many are on each flight as police often at gates.
Most clubs have to do it, heard England fans have to provide it too.

Yeah England fans do, although I think most either choose or have to sign in somewhere on matchday.

So let me get this right, you need to have flights booked before ringing up for this? Say you don't get through and then they sell out?

They don't check mate.

Find the ones you will get if you get the ticket and say them.

Also find the hotel you will get as well as they ask for that sometimes.

It's just a joke isn't it?

I might say I'm driving to London and getting the Eurostar across then driving to Madrid.

Massive joke is, I don't even drive :)

The whole things a joke - theres no way the club can check who's on each flight nor do they care.  Its just a paper exercise to the security on the far side and try to get an idea of when fans will be arriving in the cities.  Theres no way you'd take a chance and book everything and then find out you cant get a ticket.
If theres no one at the crossroads..... give er loads!!!

Our Sport Options package for the day trip has been cancelled due to lack of interest!! So we did it independently last night and to be honest got it cheaper than what we would pay for the day trip and were going for 2 nights now haha!

Fly out Monday night at 5.20pm with Ryanair direct to Madrid staying in the hostel commercial right in Plaza Mayor £79 for the 2 nights for both of us!!

Fly home on Wednesday morning at 6am via Brussels back to Manchester airport for 10am!

all for £249 not bad that at all with only a month till the game! :)

Holy shit, I forgot to book my rail tickets from Barca to Madrid when we booked the flights weeks ago. Renfre.com now don't have decent timed trains.

Ended up booking through sncf.com (With Renfre tickets!!!) so £205 return for 2 of us but I'm sure it was only about £60 return each the last time I looked. I suppose the flights mentioned above would be better but it's all the hassle of getting back to airport and then airport into Madrid & return journey that fucks that one up.

Anyhow, everything is now booked and see you all in Plaza Mayor, JFT96.
It's not where you've been, it's where we're going.

Because those who booked through Thomas Cook aren't sure if they get the credit or not.

Have the Basel credits for people who went through TC not appeared on purchase histories yet?

Have no idea, got mine through the club.

Think the lad above went through TC and isn't sure so could be an idea to check, but would've thought they'd count going forward.

Just concerned that the TO stipulate a difference between the two sales Thomas Cook and ST and members

Think you're probably right, but you just never know what the TO will do from one day to the next, and that's the thing that worries me. So not sure about investing a shed load of cash and not getting a ticket

Looking at my history, there is no tag if as far as I can see to say I got it with TC so not worrying.

I think some think they might still use the EL credits not Basel as that is what the original club info said but personally I reckon it'll go on Basel first, as has been the case before.

If there was a smaller allocation than Basel for Madrid that sort of messing around might have come into play but with a larger allocation there is just no point. Everyone that went to Basel + anyone that has a Europa 12/13 credit unused for Basel won't add up to 3000.

Most definitely about 500 - 1000

Theres not enough people to fill it with Credits from Basle and Europa 2012.

The only Spanner in the works is if they Use Braga (Campaign before 2012) away. (Which in my opinion they should) as why should someone who has never been to a European game with a Season Ticket get priority over someone who went to the Previous Eurpa campaign with Braga or other games in that campaign?

But even if Braga was used theere will still be hundreds left for General sale to season ticket holders.

One word of advice for people who are going to be getting them on their Season Ticket on General Sale. - Your not going to get alot of luck on the phones as its a lottery and its a piss take.

If you live in the North West to make sure you get them you have to get down for the Window Sale. I was there for Basle when it dropped to members with 1 and there was lads queuing up from 5 a.m (Which I would recommend if you want to guarantee Madrdid) - Atleast you know you have defo got them then as there will be a big demmand.

Can imagine alot of Season Ticket holders with no intention of going will be trying to get the Tickets as they know they will be able to sell them for big money to people who are going and have no chance in a ticket, allready heard people saying they would pay up to £150 to be guranteed a Madrid away ticket!!!! :butt
