I was on the front page of the Hindustan Times newspaper in India in 1994. I had been robbed at gun point while trying to row down the river Ganges.

It got even funnier, I spent two days with the local police, who were like the keystone cops. Their morning routine involved smoking ganga.

I stood next to Bernie Winters at a urinal in Douglas and didnt look.

Impressive, but you would have taken it to another level if Mike Winters had been there as well.

I shook hands with Freddie Mercury in 1973 before anyone (including myself) had a clue who he was or what he was likely to go on to.

I had a brief conversation with Rod Stewart in the South of France once as I tucked into 'Frito Misto'

I spent 30 mins in the center of the Lords pitch.
It was during the offseason.

I have gone around Spa Francorchamps, Barcelona, Nürburgring, Magny Cours, Hockenheim and Valencia.
I walked around these circuits during off season

I lived in the same street as Klopp when he was the manager of Mainz
...5 years between them unfortunately

I travelled with a graphics specialist who worked on Game of Thrones.
She did the graphic rocks in some of the scenes

One of my best mates growing up has had decent roles in a couple of huge movies (the second Thor being the biggest so far), and is now married/kid with an actress who is one of the main roles in a Marvel series.

Played rugby at a decent level growing up (played against the U18 Italian side as a 16yr old), our captain went on to play for England for 9 years and captain them for a few of those.

My mates and I used to play a game whilst out on the razz where you would lick a strangers hair without them knowing, if you got caught, nil points, think it came from a Vic & Bob sketch.

Our local MP in the 90's was Sebastian Coe, we were at the same 'function' one night and after a few beers I saw the opportunity, stood behind him, leant over, tongue out, contact with hair, retreat realising that he had not noticed, get in.

I've licked Seb Coe's hair without him realising.

One of my best mates is a Wrexham fan.  When we were playing away and Wrexham were home I would often go to the Wrexham game.

One of those occasions was an FA Cup tie against then Premier league Ipswich.  Wrexham pulled off a shock and that casused a pitch invasion. My immediately runs off the the centre circle at full time. As the stand empties onto the pitch Im all alone so decide to go on myself.

The game appeared on match of the day that night, as the camera shows the centre circle pitch invasion it shows me pushing my wheelchair along the byline. I think I was the only person in the shot.

A few years later United are playing Chelsea in an FA Cup tie. Terry Phelan pulls his hamstring and can barely walk, united go down that side of the pitch and score. The BBC2 Fantasy FootBall show was shown that evening and David Badiel is moaning that Chelsea were slow to sub an injured player. So Skinner says hes seen worse examples of injured players and shows the clip of me pushing my chair along the pitch.

As I've said before, the Full English is just the base upon which the Scots/Welsh/NI have improved upon. Sorry but the Full English is the worst of the British breakfasts.

Nice one Capon lad. I had a schoolboy trial at Blackburn, and one at Newcastle. I never made the cut though.

I did manage to get capped for Ireland once at U-16 level. It was only a friendly against England B but still a great experience

2 of my childhood club mates did well in England. One at Barnsley and the other at Notts Forrest

You've charmed me, who was the Barnsley player?

I played at Anfield in the final of an U-18 youth club tournament, we got beat 4-1. We got to the ground second and the other team - Old Swan Boys club - had camped in the home dressing room so we agreed to toss for it, I called tails and we then proceeded to turf them out. We plastered the physios tables with all kinds of graffiti as you do when your young.

I was on the build up on match of the day to the 86 cup final. Remember when it used to start about 10 in the morning and they would have all sorts of stuff on. Jan Molby lived opposite our school and would get pestered daily for autographs. The BBC obviously found out somehow and we were asked to bring in our liverpool and everton scarves etc and chant when he walked into the assembly hall. I was on the front row being a 4th Year (no idea in modern parlance what that year is now). I also won a footy signed by all the players in that squad.

I've heard that I was on the headline footage on the BBC 9 o'clock news being lowered from a tree at the Manchester airport protest. I don't know if this is true as I've never seen the footage.

I was interviewed by Geoffrey Wheeler on songs of praise when I was a youngster.

Once signed an autograph for 2 young Belgian lads when we were on a football tour. We beat some local semi pro side 8-1 and I got 7. I was quite chuffed till some German scout came up to me after and said I drink too much, just from watching one game.

Sat on the next table to Nicko McBrain in a pub once.

Steve Harris of Iron Maiden put his thumbs up to me as he was making his way to the stage on his solo bands small venue tour a couple of years back.

Was on Match of the Day in the 70s in an almost empty Fratton Park stand watching Pompey v Southend, Jimmy Greaves' son played for them. That was in the days when they had random games on from any division.

My mum once went out with Gary Glitter, she was in her 20s so its all good.

Our end at old trafford january 1st 1989, when the lad next to me thought it was a good idea to buy/bring home a united scarf to take home to his cousin..

Tried to hide it under his jacket, but was spotted by the regulars that had kept on since new years eve..

It was before half'n/half'n scarves so that went well
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

Got a photo of myself in the dugout after a game - qpr 88. one of the stewards saw us struggling ordering a pint in the park, got talking and met up after the game. walking past the away end was decent; not so cool when you were on the same train going back to london

Thank you, but in all honesty it wasn't because I was the "smartest". I was among students who seemed far more "book smart" than me. They were sharing details of their complex projects on algebra & calculus, which I could barely understand. I was explaining -- during a presidential election year -- how political polls were constructed. And I had taken polls of my own at shopping centers that had turned out to be quite accurate. I was quite lucky that the judges appreciated that.

Ian Ayre was in my class at school.

I could run the 100 meters in 11 seconds when I was in first year high school and never lost a race up to 1,500 meters. Good sprinter, but not so good at distance.

Both Gary Numan and Bruce Grobbelaar tried to get off with girlfriends of mine.
