Yeah I think so, I had it in my diary originally as 2pm and then crossed it out and changed to half 4. Didn't the official put it down as 2pm originally and then change it?
Yeah they announced it at 2pm and then changed it

If we progress in the CL then we could be playing the 2nd of the Quarter Final leg on Wednesday 8 April. Their were no PL games on Good Friday this year.

cheers! There were games on Easter Monday last season and in 2017 so that might still be an option.

CL QF dates are Tues/Weds 7/8 April for 1st leg and 14/15 2nd leg. That takes Friday and Monday out and we won't play on the 15th April either so with the dates having to be picked for TV well before we've played Atletico you can bank on it 100% that Aston Villa will be played on the Saturday.

Bournemouth, Burnley and Crystal Palace are the only home games that could possibly be moved to a Friday, though Bournemouth unlikely as doing that would mean blocking the Wednesday before it off for the FA Cup 5th round leaving only the Tuesday for it. No homes are possible to be moved to Monday's now due to CL and International friendly dates, but if we reach the FA Cup QF our home game with Crystal Palace scheduled for weekend of Sat 21st March would have to be rearranged for a midweek somewhere.

Last home game against Chelsea could be a Friday or Monday too but as this is when we'd be presented with the PL trophy you can virtually guarantee a Sunday 4pm for that.

Apologies if this has already been posted but has a anyone got an idea when the derby will be? Obviously just waiting for the next round of TV fixtures to come out, from a selfish point of view I’m praying it’s the Monday night as I’m in Benidorm all that weekend. Chances of it being the Monday??

There's no midweek fixture after that weekend, so it's possible.

A long time away in April, but do we reckon there's any chance Aston Villa at home or Brighton away will change "significantly" (i.e. be bumped to a random midweek date)? I don't think there's any likelihood but fixture planning confuses the fuck outta me.

Basically I want to go to Coachella one of the two weekends. My logic is I'd like to go the second weekend as I probably won't get boxed for Brighton away but will have a Villa ticket...

The weekend of the Brighton game is FA Cup semi final weekend so there's a possibility the Brighton game will be postponed but don't know when it will be rearranged for, depending on whether we get there of course.

Villa will be one of the Friday through to Monday slots as there's nothing else planned for that weekend.

-Weekend 21/3 - Crystal Palace HOME  +  FA Cup 6th round same weekend so Palace might be postponed

-Following week - Internationals

-Weekend 4/4 - City AWAY

-Midweek - Champions League QF 1st Leg

-Weekend 11/4 - Villa HOME

-Midweek - Champions League QF 2nd Leg

-Weekend 18/4 - Brighton AWAY + FA Cup Semi same weekend so brighton could be postponed

-Midweek - Nothing (Could play a postponed game here midweek if needed)

-Weekend 25/4 - Burnley HOME

After this there are games midweek (Champions league semi's) all the way up to the week between chelsea and newcastle games. I can't see them putting one of the postponed games inbetween the 2 last fixtures so my guess would be if we make it to the FA cup semi's then brighton would be straight after in that midweek. And the Palace game would be moved back, midweek on the same week of fa cup 6th round instead of being moved forward.

Thanks......

So for the Vila game (and not taking anything for granted against Atletico), we wont be expected to play the second leg of the QF on the  Wednesday as that's the 15th? And if usual sequencing of games applies we would be Wed/Tues. Which in turn should mean the Villa game should be on the Saturday.

But that doesn't allow for TV not really caring, so who knows.

There's 6 mid week dates between then and the end of the season though. You can't even rule out the ones attributed to European nights either because Atletico Madrid could knock us out. So it could be anyone of those 6.

Semi finals are weekend 18/19th April though but yeah, you're probably right, too early to speculate.

if we are STILL in the CL then I reckon it would be midweek before the fa cup weekend so around 18th of march i would say. But that's IF we stay in the champions league because the fixture list is too congested after that FA cup weekend.

I said "if" but of course we will still be in it... THE QUINTUPLET IS STILL ON  ;D

Even if we get knocked out, I don't think you're allowed to play league games on the same day as Champions League games.

Think it still exists, the Premier League just have to pay a fine.

Would expect the Palace game to be midweek 21/22 April if we get to a quarter final, and if we get to a semi final Brighton would be 12/13 of May.

Can't see them paying a fine on our behalf. Much easier to just make us play two games in two days, injure all our players and save a few quid.

It’s discussed further up that page. Most likely to be Saturday due to the CL quarters and the Hillsborough anniversary.
