Premiership Fixtures - Sunday 13th May
« on: May 9, 2012, 04:34:59 pm »
Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers
Everton v Newcastle United
Manchester City v QPR
Norwich City v Aston Villa
Stoke City v Bolton Wanderers
Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham
Sunderland v Manchester United
Swansea City v Liverpool
West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal
Wigan Athletic v Wolverhampton Wanderers

How it shapes up...

At the top:

If Manchester City match or better the result of Manchester United, they will be crowned Champions (providing Manchester United don't score 8 goals more than City do!)

If Arsenal beat West Brom, they will take 3rd place and an automatic place in the Champions League.
If Arsenal draw or lose at West Brom and Tottenham beat Fulham, Tottenham will take 3rd.
If Tottenham draw or lose at home to Fulham, and Newcastle beat Everton, Newcastle will take 4th and a potential place in the Champions League qualifiers (depending on whether Chelsea beat Bayern Munich on the 19th May in the Champions League Final)
If both Arsenal and Tottenham lose and Newcastle beat Everton, Newcastle would take 3rd and an automatic place in the Champions League.
Whoever finishes 5th out of Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle will go in to the Europa League.

At the bottom...

QPR need just a point at Manchester City to stay up, (unless Bolton win 9-0 at Stoke!)
If QPR lose at Man City and Bolton beat Stoke, Bolton will stay up and QPR will be relegated.
If Bolton fail to beat Stoke they will be relegated regardless of QPR's result at Manchester City.

You forgot to mention that if EFC match or better our result they will win their fist trophy since 2005. That famous trophy - The Finished above the RS Shield. Sad smalltime idiots.

I'm going to be a Happy Andy come what may on Sunday.

An accumulator (Off £1) came in that I'd forgotten about (£26) and I stuck the lot on Manchester Unitd to win the league

If Manchester United don't win the league, I'm going to be made up.

If Manchester United do win the league, I'm going to be £170 up and I'll spend it on ale and curry commiserating :D

With us - no pressure - if we win, great. If we don't - great. Time for the lads to have a bit of a kick about, relax and think of their holidays.

Can#t see both Manchester clubs winnings, just hope City don't bottle it.

Would love to see City win, Newcastle get 3rd, Chelsea lose in Munich, Bolton go down.

Should be a good game against Swansea, they play some nice football, looking forward to it.
I'd like to see Newcastle and Arsenal get Champions league places and ManCity to win, hope it happens.

Suprised how the media have more or less already handed city the league! You just know a dodgy pen/ offside will go QPRs way on sunday or City just bottle it.

Think both Arsenal & Spurs will win & Bolton to be relegated.

Bolton go down??!?

ANOTHER local away game gone?

Don't understand that mate - we've already lost Blackburn.

Especially with Reading, Southampton and possibly West Ham coming up... Fairly "local" fixtures replaced by some very long journey's South!

Oi!! I was gonna do a big fancy one will bells on and everything...

Both Manchester clubs competing for the same spot.
Both North London clubs competing for the same spot.
Both Merseyside clubs competing for the same spot.
2 from 3 to drop down with some interesting games against those at the top and those chasing Europe.

Should be a great last day of the season. Would like Bolton to stay up (just for next season anyway) but not sure I see it happening Stoke love to be bastards.

Wolves, blackburn and either QPR or Bolton going down. Can't complain about that. Wolves have been shite, Blackburn has quite possibly got the worst fans in the league, QPR have got that gobby little shit Barton and I think Owen Coyle is massivly overrated as a manager.

Glad Swansea are safe and Newcastle have something to play for. Should allow us to get above them (yes it's a small victory. But i'd hate a summer of bitter blues giving it all that if they stay above us).

Obviosuly I want city to win and personally I want either Newcastle or Spurs to get 4th because Chelsea are going to win the CL and take that 4th spot using the Liverpool loophole ;)

Have a feeling City will bottle it against QPR, given the magnitude of importance the match holds for both teams. I really hope I am wrong. Can't stand Man Utd winning a title with Kenny here.

as ridiculous as it may sound i don't think it's a given that united will win at sunderland. ok sunderland have been shite recently but the only team they raised their game against was city when they really should have won.

ah who am i kidding? united will twat them. qpr will get hammered fortunately. their away record is utterly abysmal. spurs will get 4th as they'll beat fulham.

got a feeling bolton will win at stoke just like wigan did last year to stay up.

It's basically going to be Manchester United Old Boys v Manchester United

Result: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 17

I reckon the results for Manchester United and Manchester City will be;

Manchester City - Routine 2-0 win. No drama.

Manchester United game.

10 Mins: Sunderland down to 10 men.
17 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 1 (Rooney, Pen)
23 Mins: Sunderland down to 9 men
30 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 2 (Rooney, Pen)
35 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 3 (Rooney, Pen)
44 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 4 (Rooney, Pen)

Second half

54 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 5 (Rooney, Pen)
55 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 6 Rooney
62 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 7 Giggs
65 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 8 Scholes
70 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 9 Nani
75 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 10 Valencia
83 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 11 Young
87 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 12 (Rooney, Pen)
90 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 13 (Rooney, Pen)
96 Mins: Sunderland 0 - Manchester United 14 (Rooney, Pen)

Manchester United win the League! Yay.

I'm risking the wrath of Andy@Allerton here (God help me!) but I think Sunderland v (Manchester) United will be tight. United will win by one goal, scored midway through the 2nd half, probably after a horrendous individual error from Sunderland. That's my prediction.

I think City fans will be far more worried about choking than the players and manager. They're used to it, it's in their psyche but the likes of Tevez, Toure, Clichy etc have won a few titles between them. I hope they can score early and calm any nerves that may be there. I do worry about Djib snatching one on the break and QPR digging in for dear life! The fact they 'only' need a point rather than having to go there and win is a bit worrying.

As for the battle for 3rd/4th...I think there's a decent chance Arsenal might blow it and drop points at West Brom. That opens the door for the others but Spurs won't have it easy against Fulham and likewise for Newcastle at Everton. I'm hoping Spurs and Toon both win though for our sake.

I'd like Bolton to stay up at the expense of QPR. I think they could win at Stoke - they have far more to play for and Stoke have been crusing a bit recently. Just have to hope QPR don't put a spanner in the works.

The burning question though is who will be the last game on MOTD at pushing 1am - us at Swansea or Villa v Norwich?

That would give Rooney the golden boot aswell, unless van Persie scored at least five in Arsenal's game. Happy days  :P

Even though we played on Tuesday, it's felt like a long week so far waiting for Sunday, quite surprised there are at 3pm not at 4pm, however, think City will win, there a different side since Utd started dropping points, the last 2 results should give City confidence.

Love Newcastle to get a win against Everton, but think we'll draw at Swansea[if Everton lose & we draw, we'll finish above them as after the 4-1 win on Tuesday, we'll have the better goal difference], think Bolton will go down, love Spurs & Arsenal to drop points as well.

Can't fuckin wait, gonna be an absolute cracking and nervous end to the season.

QPR are fighting for their lives so I don't think the game at the Etihad will be a walkover but a very tense and nerve wracking 1-0 to City.

The best finish will be Utd winning comfortably and City grabbing a late winner at the Etihad, then the cameras move to Sluralex at the stadium of Light doing a nut at the 4th official upon being told City have just scored. The look on his face would be priceless.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Great anti climax for those expecting jizzihno....

Wicked man! :D Would be great though. What about the alternative scenario of City throwing everything at QPR but it remains goal less. United lead 1-0 at Sunderland. The Full Time whistle blows at the Etihad. Deep in stoppage time Sunderland force one last corner. The corner is swung in and John O'Shea rises majestically to head home (in off Patrice Evra if you want some extra laughter) and deny his former side the title...

ONeil will bend over for his master Ferguson.  I predict more than 10 goals at Sunderland and Fergie will send his "ref" to City's game to make sure everything goes to plan.

I can't recall a final day with so much still to be decided

Your boys better stay away from the Lasagne, eh?

Can't fuckin wait, gonna be an absolute cracking and nervous end to the season.

QPR are fighting for their lives so I don't think the game at the Etihad will be a walkover but a very tense and nerve wracking 1-0 to City.

The best finish will be Utd winning comfortably and City grabbing a late winner at the Etihad, then the cameras move to Sluralex at the stadium of Light doing a nut at the 4th official upon being told City have just scored. The look on his face would be priceless.

Think City will put 4 or 5 past QPR. There might be some nerves but once the first goal goes in the floodgates will open like a timeless virgin in Sweden.

Better still, City win 6-0 and United loose 6-0.
As much as I would love to see this come true I'm afraid it won't.  I mean, really, The Mackems couldn't score 6 against the blind school, even if they had a 5-0 start.  Shower of useless c*nts.   What's going to sicken me is the drunken old tramp and his squad of bastards winning the league at the Stadium of Plight.

Sunderland spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

City for the league.
Bolton to go down.
Newcastle 3rd + Arsenal 4th.

And us to smash Swansea with a hatrick from Carroll. Would be a boss day.

Offline general change if that's easier

Arsenal to lose against West Brom, Spurs and Newcastle both win.

No Champions League for you, Wenger.
