Just booked my train for the newcastle game from Euston, London to Lime street. 7:49 arriving at 11:43. Have I left it a bit tight with the 12:30 kick off. I usually power walk up to Anfield. Has anyone ever had this train delayed?

Very tight might even struggle getting a cab up that late . Maybe get a train from central to kirkdale it’s a 15 min walk from there depending on what time they are

If on time be fine, just pop outside Lime Street and the 917 across the road to ground last buses go around half an hour before kick off time.

I don’t think it does. The chap James who ran and organised it still goes to games regularly. From what I heard he had a few personal issues which meant he couldn’t commit to keep running it. Don’t know what exactly and I don’t know how true that is. Shame because he was genuinely sound.

I used to come up with them when I was 17/18. Met a few reds who I’m still friends with today.

Yeah. I don’t make many home games now though due to family commitments. My lad is 7 now so wanting to get him up to Anfield this year. I usually do away games if possible as they’re closer and less expense for travel.

I know James quite well. The club is no longer running. It ceased 5/6 years ago roughly. Shame as the coach was always decent, dickheads would get called out and friend and I now have to share driving back and forward from Norwich.

Happy to, but we are only doing European games this season due to work and both having young families.

Don't know if it's any help but I'll be driving up from Windsor at around 11am and back that evening after the game.

There's a LFC London coach and possibly the Stanmore one too. I live in the South of London so it's a bit of a ballache getting back at 1-2am, although probably will just take the LFC London one. Kinda expensive too relatively!

I'd be down to help organise a small South London and Surrey coach but it seems like every London red lives in the North of London!

I'm on the faster train from 9.07am arriving 11.20am. Still a little tight. A couple of times I've narrowly missed a train and was allowed to hop on the next one. Not sure if that's because of my ticket type but I'm almost certain the guy at the gates said it's fine on the weekend. Wonder if they'd let me get on an earlier one?

I've not spoken to Soky about it yet but LFC London may be doing coaches for this, they have done previous years mate

Thanks mate, yeah messaged Soky - sounds like they're happening. Leaving at 12. Always swerved the coach to save some time. You been on a CL night coach before? You know roughly when it gets back? Trying to figure out what time I'd actually get back home as I live in South London.

Trying to save holiday days really too. Might work on the coach on the way, sleep on the way back - and hopefully be back at work next day at 9.30!  ;)

Yeah I get it for all the CL games. Depending on traffic it gets back between 4 and 5am. You can make it for work the next day but its tiring. I book from 11 the day of the game to 11 the next day just to get some more sleep.

Fuck, that's late. Might look into taking the 4 hour train journeys and staying in a hostel or something. Cheers mate.

Anyone driving from London to the Salzburg game with one or two seats?

Will chip in of course. Ideally don’t want to take the coach as it leaves around 12 and arrives back around 4-5am. Would rather not have to take a day and a bit off work  ;D
