Epic Libertadores for me this season - even  the low point, the  - 3 to santos - but also the high point because of what followed, that was fucking boss, I heard the TAW/Henry winter thing about this before - about winning and how that isn't what football as all about ... what do I know - I know I love the energy, the vitality and the passion. I live in south America but I'm home tonight in Liverpool for the Napoli game. I love this game we all love - goodnight (Had too many hot toddies)

Liverpool (of Uruguay) just beat Bahia (Brazil) away 1-0, thanks to this goal - https://streamable.com/yl9ax - in the 1st Leg of the 1st Round of the Copa Sudamericana :)

They finished 5th last season - not bad for a team in the 2nd division only 4 seasons ago. Result is impressive too in that they hadn't played a competitive game since the first week of November :)

Cutting it fine. Hopefully their bus doesn’t go via Central Manchester.

Inter v River should be decent tonight. River could really do with a result but seem ravaged by injury and Quintero done his ACL.

Yes good shout - tough game I think for river against Inter who are loving being back in the big games

It only feels like a week or so ago the last tournament has finished, can't believe it was a few months ago the yeas has gone that fast, i see the final is over one match now as well rather than over 2 legs, & that was announced early last year well before, the River v Boca final.

That’s fantastic.  I always wondered why nobody else ever did that, considering how rich they all are already.  Pootling around in empty stadiums for cash seems like such a depressing way to sign off.

Nice one Jason.

River Boca in the semis probably - although that's a decent 0-0 for Cruzeiro in Argentina.
The big guns from Brazil in the other half of the draw. I'd quite like to see Palmeiras have a decent run as they've been the best team in Brazil for the last couple of years. Just looked it up on wiki the last time Flamengo won was 1981 with Zico!

3 Paraguayan sides through to the last 16, relatively impressive, although all have some history in the competition.

Hope each has some young players in the ranks, because the full national side is going through a very rough patch, need to find some young talent coming through...

Yeah, Palmeiras really seem to be on a roll the past couple of seasons - things have seemingly clicked into place for them; whereas a previously promising Corinthians on the other hand... seem to have fallen off a cliff.

Good to see Santos up there too.

Great result for Internacional that tonight - will hopefully give them more confidence and belief :)

Amazing away attendance for International in Montevideo and a decent number of Cruzeiro in Buenos Aires last night and looks like a decent number of Flamengo in Ecuador. Seems like the Copa Libertadores away attendances and the competition on the whole is getting closer and closer to the CL in recent years.

I love watching the tourny and being based in Canada these days Im delighted thaat DAZN now has every game live

Paranaense last minute penalty. Watched him a dozen times now and think Rony would be a good signing for us

How much would a player like him be making does anyone know?
