Salah will have a summer off pretty much as well. The Olympics are deep into the summer and only a 2 week long tournament, so its not like he would need a holiday after it.

Always thought he'd miss the euros due to the nature of the injury but always a slim fear that his superhuman qualities would mean he was recovered in time.

Wasn't his decision to make, the consultant said no and he listened.

The 3 Dutch FA officials who went to the appointment with the consultant with him and outnumbered the sole LFC official who was with him tells a much different story. Both he and the Dutch FA were pushing it massively.

I think it’s worth pointing out that irrespective of what he wanted to happen and irrespective of the fact he may be slightly glossing over the nature of the discourse surrounding it, that the key point is that he did listen. He’s the best centre half in the world and given the shite we’ve had in the past when top players haven’t gotten their own way (Gerrard after Istanbul for example) it’s refreshing that he’s accepted it and stated his intentions for next season.

Good to see the muscle definition in his legs (oe-er). I was a bit shocked at the first picture of Gomez that came out a few months ago as his leg looked like a pipe cleaner. And even VVD if you look at this latest pic compared to the first ones, there is a good improvement. Very confident he will be ready for pre-season.

You are right in the sense that Messi would still have won if we look at it as a whole but players tend to monitor the number of votes through their agents.

It's kind of like following a game on Livescore and finding put your team lost a lead late in the game.
