No chance on this planet would Conte be a success there. He won't massage egos, so they'd chew him up and spit him out after 6 months.
That’s not that bad by their standards!!!  Although I think you’re right..

Hence Wenger makes sense
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”

The cheap/in-house option - Guti
The big name/ long-term target option - Wenger
The big name/spite Barcelona option - Luis Enrique
The available hipster option - Sarri
The soon to be available defensive option - Conte

I don't see them going for Wenger at all.

Hoping they take Poch, but he just renewed his contract at Spurs.

They basically need a people manager. None of these tacticians who make you work hard will work there. That I believe rules out the likes of Conte and Sarri.

Conte the easy answer surely?

Top name, his club are looking for an excuse to get rid...

I still have a hunch for Wenger though

What they need is someone to lay the foundations for the next 10 years.  They don’t have the patience for that though.

They would try it and fire them after 9 months.

Yeah which is why I said they need a man manager. They're impatient and have prima Donnas that are going to throw a fit. Even the board has no mood for a project.

First he transferred from them to Barcelona in the 90's and then he bad-mouthed Real all throughout his time in Catalonia. Not a snowball's chance in hell in my opinion.

Poch would be fired within a year. Not strong enough to control the squad or player power. Wouldn't be allowed to risk losing Ronaldo, soon as Ronaldo turned on Poch he'd be fired.
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

So let me think, a story breaks shortly after the final about Ronaldo and Bale leaving RM, and then within days Zidane resigns. All connected me thinks. I suppose he might as well go out while on top, be interesting to see who replaces him though.

A few years ago there was this one manager who said that he's suited to clubs like Real Madrid and managing them wouldn't be a problem for him, in fact he'd win the league or the double every time.  He's recently become available as well.

...Step forward Fat Sam.  Go on Real, you know you want to.  We'd all love to see it.

Might not be a popular opinion but actually don't mind this sort of thing, and think we should do the same ourselves. Jurgens had two cup finals and lost both, so surely get rid and then snap up Sam Allardyce before he's unavailable again.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Would make absolutely no sense whatsoever when he's literally just signed a new deal.

All they need is someone to pick the team, I’d give it a go.
Not that simple, they need someone who is respected enough by the players due to his last accomplishments at Madrid. He massaged their egos but also they couldn't question him in public or turn on him cause he was a far popular figure with the fans than any player. Now, whoever they bring won't have that kind of authority and will be undermined by player power from day one.

Sarri, Conte, Porch would fail miserably. Think Wenger would do well there because his managerial style in his last years at Arsenal was relaxed which might work with the squad and his accomplishments will gain him some respect from the players.
