There’s someone who goes by that name on Twitter which always makes me chuckle when I see it.

Ask him if he knows any good tapas restaurants :)

Alpha Papa was in the pipeline for so long that it was never gonna live up to some fans expectations, the initial siege concept was drawn up right after IAPS2, so that’s what? Twelve years?

It was as good as it could have been, at least it wasn’t as bad as the Brent movie.

Yeah I enjoyed it. Was great seeing him on the big screen to be honest! I also think I,Partridge is incredible. Still need to listen to the audio version. It is on YouTube but not sure I can do 6 and a half hours in one hit!

I actually started listening to it for the first time the other night (read it), I was laughing so hard I had Kenco coming out of my nostrils.

It's just so layered and dense.

"Alan Partridge's Scissored Isle" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

"Alan Partridge's Scissored Isle" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Loved his spin off shows too.

'Welcome to the places of my life' and the sheer disregard and disdain for the Market Greengrocer is one of my very favourite Partridge moments outside of KYKMWAP and IAP.

"I liked Mike. In many ways, his larger-than-life personality reminded me of the village idiot of centuries gone by"

"Without the market stall to occupy him, one shudders to think what sinister activities Mike would have been drawn to".

"When I had a go at what he’d been doing for the last 25 years, it was one of easiest things I’ve ever done in my life"

"It's menial work!!!"

Watched the other day the clip of the old dear putting her basket on the conveyor, then him getting increasingly exasperated as she put it on the side and then started bringing the items over one by one. :lmao

I wasn't a huge Scissored Isle fan* but the Tesco bit is classic Alan. WTTPOML is better overall I think. I don't remember much about the book one.

I got the sense it was made to get some of the (admittedly brilliant) I, Partridge across to people who were never going to read the (a?) book, and as I'd read it already I think I was only half listening.

Always good to see Look Around You's Robert Popper though.
