Farewell Craig Bellamy, who upon signing for Liverpool, saw Xabi's missus. Straight to Xabi: 'You're punching well above your weight, mate.'

Thanks Craig :)

I remember him saying he was interested in going into management and would model his style on Rafa.

Great that he scored in his final premier league game. A fitting way to end a great professional career.

Will always remember his Nou Camp goal of course and his massive part in winning the League Cup under King Kenny.

Thanks Craig. YNWA.

One of my funny memories of him is coming on in his 2nd spell and getting booked for mouthing off to the ref almost immediately.

And he was quite decent weren't he, big reason for the last piece of silverware we won, was boss in that (2nd leg) semi final against City.

Proper dirty bastard at times,

Saying that, he's only been sent off once in league games over the past decade or so. Think it was when he was at City and he got a second yellow against Bolton.

His performance against Chelsea just after Gary Speed died was unbelievable. Just played with raw emotion that night, tore Chelsea apart and you could see everything he did on the pitch was for his friend.

You do understand his biggest role is outside of football right? Creating a recognisable structure for youth football in Sierra Leone when there wasn't one previously and building training acadamies all over the country at his own personal cost.

Must give it a whirl. Not that I was comparing him to your Wayne's or Ya-Ya's of this world though, just pointing out there is a lot of money to be made as a "journey-man" in the PL era. Without putting clubs over a barrell.

See my post above. Wasn't a slight on the man in any way, just pointing out he had a very lucrative career path.

He played for a lot of different clubs but you could tell he gave 100% for every club he played for. Got great memories of him for us, and just in general. Think it was in that 4-3 game against United when he played for City, he was the standout player on the pitch. For us the semi final against city, barca game obviously. Also in that horror show against Bolton, just before the city semi final game, he seemed like the only player trying hard. Great character all the best.

That's the most interesting one of those I have seen.

Better than muzzy izzets who's was basically the Leicester team from the 90s with emre from Turkey.

Says a lot about how good Suarez is that Bellamy picked him above Shearer having only worked with Suarez for a year.
