Guys and Girls,  I know we are sick of the Dicks who are running our club but some of the crap spouted on save Liverpool FC is sickening,.................

Tonight some one thinks we should burn out the owners new cars!!!!

what the hell are we ?

I am  as angry as anyone re the owners and lliars in our club , but to suggest that we go to such low levels is just beyond  my understanding.

how can this encourage  anyone to join  our cause....

If you want to do something...................then follow Fat Scousers thread...............get the emails going ,  put pen to paper, buy the shirt , join sos..................but for goodness sake do it in such a way that LIVERPOOL FANS can be proud of.....................we are not thugs

It's Facebook, it's hardly a congregation point for the finest minds of the 21st century to meet.

Firstly, Save Liverpool FC is not the Spirit of Shankly.

Secondly, when people are passionate about a subject, don't be surprised if people say things that may shock people.

And thirdly, and lastly, there's absolutely no point letting it bother you, otherwise you'll find yourself ranting and raving every fifteen seconds about something you disagree with morally that you've found on the internet.

I know that Save Liverpool FC are not SOS, I am a member of both and realise that they are both seperate entities. However when they promote SOS.....then  yeah it upsets me  that  stupid comments are made .
despite what some may feel , I am not that easily shocked.

Hi Joanne,

I actually agree with you, and I know that the guys running a lot of the SaveLFC stuff are concerned about a lot of the stuff on Facebook.  Unfortunately Facebook have recently produced stats that show that they now have 500 million users, 499 million of whom are morons, so this kind of thing is sadly inevitable.

It's a double edged sword, you need Facebook to spread the message, but you have to accept all that comes with it, warts and all.

JJoaneUK - the minute I saw that comment last night it was gone, and added a comment reminding people that the campaign is against anything illegal or aggressive. Please don't confuse some utter idiot posting nonsense with what the campaign stands for.

Wow - just tried to send you a pm JJoanne and discovered that you'd blocked personal messages from me.

OK - sorry, will have to just post it here then. :)

Hi Joanne

Just wanted to send a quick note in reply to your thread on the Off The Pitch forum.

We've said right from the start we don't condone anything illegal and that anyone who posted nonsense like that would be on their own. I don't think we can do much more than that. Facebook's choc full of idiots, we're learning, but the people who post on the site don't represent the campaign. We've had Man Utd fans liking the group and coming on and saying all kinds of provocative stuff, we've had nutters who spam the mods and SOS here, and we've also had nice people who are supporters of other clubs come on and wish us all the best.

So you can't control it - all we can do is delete the nonsense when it appears.

Thanks cos you've been a big help in all the stuff we've done, and please remember we're with you on this - there are some real idiots out there and keeping it sensible is very difficult.

Cheers

Roy

it doesn't matter who it is that sets up groups on FB it attracts the weird and the wonderful, check out lfc tube, lfc transfers, empire, there are some certifiable card carrying nutters on all of them, you just click to join these groups and even these examples of poor quality missing links can do that, if you want serious discussion you wont get it on FB however you can build a zoo , shop and be in the mafia if you want!
