So Wrestlemania will now be across two days (the Saturday and Sunday) and will be from 'multiple locations', including the Performance Centre. All will be closed sets with only essential personnel present.

Exceptional circumstances obviously, but I reckon splitting Mania across two days is what they should do every year. The roster is just so big, and the 7 hour show is exhausting.

I'm actually really intrigued to see what they can pull off with Mania this year. I think WWE and AEW deserve massive credit for going ahead with shows without a crowd - when you're stuck at home, having some live entertainment is much needed.

WrestleMania being split over two nights should've been done a while back. No way with the large rosters they have can you do that over one show and keep it from being boring and repetitive.

Kudos to all wrestling companies still trying do live shows!! It's the one "sport" still going with a live transmission it seems

AEW seemed to have a banger show last night, fair play to them for bringing in reveals, new talent etc with no pop from the audience. Reminds me of a typical weekly Smackdown crowd.

I thought this, the pop he'd have got with a packed arena would've been awesome. Didn't work so well without the crowd.

Good show though, I loved how they had wrestlers at ringside and developed a little sub plot of them all night. Another solid show. Looking forward to blood and guts.

Just on AEW, can I just say Sammy Guevara is absolutely fantastic. Him singing Judas on AEW was great. Reminds me a bit of Edge and Christian, being the goofy, dumb, pretty boy heel.

Him and Darby have a big future if done properly

Yeah Sammy is the breakout star of AEW for me, he's good in the ring and has really shown something with his mic work and general piss-taking. I'm expecting to see a more vicious side of him coming out as they build to the inevitable turn on Jericho.

Cornette mentioned the 'wrestlers around the ring' thing on the last podcast he did. Basically said that for training matches in OVW that's how they used to do it. Have the wrestlers around the ring reacting and working their characters.

Then basically shat all over WWEs presentation having the empty arena fully lit up and how they were caught out when the satellite feed stayed live when they went to commercial and the women doing their match just stopped and did nothing for a few minutes until the commercial break finished

But looks like Wrestlemania will be a taped event over the 2 nights while AEW have just postponed their Blood and Guts event for a future date.

Looks like a few indi places piggybacking on Wrestlemania weekend will be losing out big time

My second favourite part was Jericho declaring that, virus or not, he was decreeing that no crowds would be allowed at AEW until he decided otherwise. My favourite part was 'waffle house menu'.

It actually works. Mainly because if you don't know Vince's mannerisms, it totally still works as a crazy irrational cult leader. There's an insider joke there, but the gimmick can stand on its own as well

I think Sammy should be with Jericho for a while. Part of the reason it works is because Sammy and Jericho have a father/son thing going on.

Inner Circle really works and should last a while and only slowly disintegrate, and Sammy should be the last one out. Hell maybe have Jericho turn on him instead (I am thinking Angle and Edge here, where Edge beat Angle for KotR, when Angle basically expected him to lie down for him as he was his cronie).

Both the Taker and Bret ones were really interesting. I'm not going to bother with Goldberg.

Yeah, considering that's their main title match kaput.

Also the AJ / Taker match... look, if Taker's so busted he can't do a normal match and you need the smoke and mirrors, don't bother. I have zero interest in some "match" in a graveyard set. If AJ Styles of all people can't drag a watchable regular match out of someone they're done.

And no crowd? I just can't see the show working

Mania just doesn't seem like a big deal because of it all. Surely it is better to call it another PPV and then save Mania until everything is back to normal.

Not like there are any massive matches , that you can't call it a WWE special instead of Mania.

The only match I even care about is Edge vs Orton, but thinking about it, there might be massive questions on if it will be much cop... Edge has been out for nearly a decade, and Orton can be boss but is no ring general. Plus a last man standing match.. smoke and mirrors again, another gimmick match

Well technically Wrestlemania is now 'in the can'. It was taped Wednesday and yesterday. The Raw following mania will be taped tonight.

To be fair to WWE, one of their biggest strengths is editing and post production so they should be able to cobble together something. But to still call it Wrestlemania is a shame

You could do an interesting angle between Booker T and Triple H, include Flair in there ringside as well.

Have Booker booked as the underdog, play on his upbringing and his past with heavy hints towards his race, then the two rich white men squash him anyway.
