Was ridiculous when he played on when Mo was being manhandled then didn't book the player. Hate that you have to go down to get anything from these bellend refs.

Marriner would still give fuck all.
That flop from Delafeau get a free but when it is on a Liverpool player in the box?

Maybe this has been answered but on salahs last goal why wasn't the offside line the player sat on the ground?

Player behind the keeper I assume

Grest result to take into the CWC.

But to be honest we were far too complacent and sloppy, I've lost count of how many dogshit teams we play back into form, give them loads of confidence and make them look dangerous in attack.

Firmino and Milner had stinkers. Nice to see Mo back in the goals though.

They were just really up for it because they had a new manager the frauds.

Remember them at Man City losing 8-0. They didn't put a foot in all game.

Marriner, as a referee the sooner his ship sails the better.

At least Atkinson is gone at the end of this season.

The number of toddlers running around pissed all the time has reached ridiculous levels. You see them everwhere. In every town centre. Running around (well staggering), shouting, screaming and usually ending up by falling down in the gutter. Im sure they're putting something in the milk  :o

Missed the game so thanks to the commentators for keeping me informed whilst Chrimbo shopping! 🙈🙈

Excellent win and a clean sheet to boot. Get in reds

This was the first match in a while where I felt genuinely worried to be honest, at 1-0 we were looking well sloppy and heart skipped a beat for van Dijk's backpass. However, strong winds, midweek match, it's all forgiven with three points in the bag. Now come on Norwich!

Yeah they didn't get a new manager bounce at all by appointing a manager they'd already sacked.

They were clearly well up for it today. Pressed and ran for 90 minutes all over the pitch. They've got decent players, if they played like that all season they'd be top half.

Because there has to be 2 defenders between the attacking player and the goal. The player sat on the ground was the last player back so the offsides line would be placed at the next defender which happened to be the player next to the gk.

The way they place their lines just seems so arbitrary
Yes. Yes it is. And I find it frustrating as fuck that non of these so called experts on TV are even talking about the technical aspect of what they are doing. The technical bit being that if you're going to draw digital lines on an image, at what resolution is the image and the line? And how in the fuck can this even be accurate when a digital image needs to be at least 16k resolution to be anywhere near what the human eye can see as being "clear" or defined?

I'm aghast at the amount of people on here who seem ignorant of the offside rule.

In order to be onside, an attacking player must not be ahead of the last two defenders.
In this instance, defender 1 is the guy on the line. Defender 2 is the guy they were drawing the line on. Defender 3 is the GK and he is irrelevant to the decision.

A win thats all that matters.
The wind made that game harder than it should have been and we were just not on it.

Marriner is a joke of a ref, jump at our players get a free kick. Hold our players around the neck, carry on lads. Feel a slight bit of contact from a liverpool player, hit the deck lad and here is a free kick.

Still don't know what the first VAR decision was for, Marriner seemed to point at his arm? but god knows who's arm it hit. will have to watch back.

Just so happy to get the 3 points...we had a very very high intensity match on Tuesday evening and that was away.

Blustery winds as well, just a shame about Gini, hopefully we get someone back or ready to be back around the 26th

For the first time in as long as I can remember, the wind really tried its best to mess the game up. The direction was against us in the second half and our passes went awry. Not sure how much of that factored into Van Dijk's back pass or it was just a brainfart. Either way, still love him.
Liverpool don't turn up against shit teams so Wenger picks the shittest line up possible.

Awful game and probably as poor a performance at Anfield as we have had in 2019 (though I am sure we had a couple of other bad ones at some point). Got the job done and will surely be much better against Leicester on Boxing Day.

The crowd was nervy and it seemed to translate to the players. So many poor first touches, miscommunications and sloppy passes. Of course, we had to contend with a team getting away with manhandling our lads but that's par for the course these days.

VAR needs to sort its offsides - it looks dodgy every time they draw the lines and draw them again.

They were even at it with Mo's goal (ignoring the fact there was someone lying on the fucking goalline) - if you need to draw it twice it's not clear and obvious.

the length of the 2 lines drawn can swing the offside either ways, because they are using images that are at an angle.  if you want an offside, just draw the red line longer than the blue, and vice versa

3 massive, brilliant points, piles the pressure on our rivals, haha playing below our best must piss them off even more!

One more game chalked off in our pursuit of the Title. It was vital we didn't drop points today to give Leicester in particular a sniff of chipping away at our lead. Watford in shite conditions, shite ref ,new manager etc, probably thought they might snatch a point...fuck off, no chance!

Sloppy as fuck but given that we had an intense game in midweek and this lot had a whole week, its understandable. Not sure how we kept a clean sheet, we were so careless in possession, but 3 points is all that matters.

Salah was fantastic, MOTM for me, and Becker made some important saves. How the fuck was Mane's goal offside?

Hoping that Gini's injury is not serious
