4 goals in 6 matches, eeshk)

Look on the bright side, we've scored more goals than Pulis's WBA this year

(negative side, less than anyone else including Newcastle and Sunderland)

Norwich are terrible. Should've beat them comfortably. Our decision making in the final 3rd is fucking woeful at the moment and it's cost us 3 points today. And with Villa up next in the league at home I'm concerned we'll struggle to beat them as well. Especially given the recent record they have against us at Anfield in recent years.

I don't think 'better performance' in a 1-1 home draw against newly-promoted Norwich is the improvement anyone was hoping for or finds satisfactory.

Arsenal   0 - 0  Liverpool
Liverpool   0 - 3  West Ham United
Manchester United   3 - 1   Liverpool
Bordeaux   1 - 1  Liverpool
Liverpool 1-1 Norwich

Last time we scored more than one goal in a competitive game was v QPR back in May. :(

Benteke also proving to be a bargain.

Quelle surprise when we actually play better without him.

Yep, just said the same myself. Looked much better with Ings up there.

Mignolet needs to be moved on.
Better than average shot shooter but fucking SHIT at distribution. Holds onto the ball to long which kills any chance of a counter attack and punches when more often than not he can catch the ball.

Coutinho too greedy. Milner slow with poor decision making.

Ings showed fight and passion. Made up for his goal. MOTM by far

Moreno was great when the team made use of him. But he was largely ignored.

Sakho should be starting every game.

Positives Moreno and Sakho.

However we lacked the cutting edge in attack and couldn't control the midfield.

The clock is ticking for Brendan.

I wouldn't read too much into at as I think pretty much the whole team is shot at the moment.

Apart from Lovren who is clearly pants  ;)

The Norwich defender/midfielder had split the pass and made Coutinho shoot, you would of hoped our best player could put a one on one away though. Was one of those days, we played them off the park and controlled their counter attacks and then we go and let our selves down from a corner.

Heartbreaking it really is.
Yep, we saw this even when S&S were banning them in for fun.

Sad really.

Could have won it.
Could have lost it.

Should be winning it based on the money we have spent against a promoted side.

I'm not an advocate for changing manager but i cant see how he stays if we dont get results. Simple as that.

Can't blame the manager today. We had the chances to win before and after they equalised.

Amateur. First thing coached when keeper off the line is cover the line. Why was there only Moreno running back after the ball had been prodded forward. It was naive playground shit, the way everyone was sucked to that ball for the goal.

Also, it's clear that the only credential defenders need to play for us is that they need to brainfart at least once a game. All of them. Do you know what? The arguments about Lovren, Sakho, Skrtel and Can are all small potatoes because they're all equally capable of fucking up. Absolute ridiculous that performance. So many of Rodgers' quotes come back to haunt him....

Quote
In a withering attack on Chelsea’s approach he suggested that it was “not difficult to coach to play defensive” and compared it to how Crystal Palace would line up against Liverpool next week.

“They virtually played from the off with a back six with the wingers coming back,” Rodgers said.
“It was 10 players behind from the first minute and we found it difficult to break down. You don’t just see it against Atlético Madrid, it’s against most. It’s the style of football, it’s defensive, and the polar opposite of the way we work. It gets results.

“It’s not difficult to coach to just get 10 players right on your 18-yard box and it is difficult to break through, but they defended well.

He seems to have leaned so far towards 'player expression' that he no longer needs to coach anything. Relying on Coutinho or Sturridge to produce magic sparks whenever we need a goal. The expectation was a win today and the demand was for a performance. We got neither.  Brendan has been backed to the hilt (more so than any other recent manager), and he needs to start throwing hand grenades in that dressing room.

Milner in midfield. Looked heavy legged two weeks ago. Looked like he was running with lead boots the last quarter of that game. Can needs to be pushed to centre back because we have no idea how to use him properly in a midfield. Pissed off.

Is Coutinho the striker in this team?  :-\
The amount of times he had a shot in that game frome all sorts of angles, you would think he's the number 9 instead of 10.
He knew he'd fucked up so was desperately trying to make amends.

I've been watching liverpool live since the 60s and it was so much different then. Now we have these new idiots watching footabll thinking they know shit...they don't. Brendan is our manager and we support him through thick and thin....No matter what.

When he says judge me after 3 years we give him 4, cos that's what we do...did. We are happy to see no progression on the pitch during this time and £300M spent.

Im lost for words that people on here are defending that!

''Better I suppose'' blah blah blah

A draw at home to fucking Norwich!
It's the lowered expectation mate, I got called "arrogant" last night for suggesting a club like Liverpool shouldn't ever be beaten 3-0 at home by West Ham, and now a draw at home to Norwich is "improvement"?, I guess it is improvement because we've actually scored a goal and heroically earned a point.

Absolute fucking dross, I turned off after they scored, no doubt the superfans will pour scorn on me for that, but I'm fed up sitting through that tosh, really sick to the back teeth.

At this point I would like to see Rossiter or Teixeira given a run out in midfield, without Henderson, Milner looks in-explicitly lost and Lucas can't play all of our games, too injury prone. Hopefully Joe Allen helps out as well, but he is also injury prone.

Good job from Ings and Moreno.

The people who are after Rodgers wont agree but that was a pretty decent performance today. We created a lot of CLEAR CUT chances but couldn't finish them off.

Forget the top 4, this team will do well to finish in the top 8.

The team is capable but I can't see us finishing above West Ham, Spurs, Southampton and Everton.......so maybe 9th or 10th if nothing changes.

Should have been a comfortable win and we had enough chances to have made another setpiece fuckup irrelevant to the result. Instead manager getting absolutely hammered and boos. That was actually a much improved performance for chunks of that game. Frustrating. Really fucking frustrating. But there's evidence there of a decent team trying to get out and that the shift to three at the back may bring at least a bit more control to games and at least give us a chance to, well, screw up at both ends. It's a team absolutely bereft of confidence really. But if they stick to what worked today, the results will come. But this run of results is shitty beyond belief.

Good goal from Ings. Thought Sakho and Moreno showed what they bring to the team. Midfield, well, plenty of room for a young lad to push for a place right now and hold it by merit.

An improved performance, but disappointing result.

We looked better in this shape, but going one up front when we took Sturridge off seemed like a strange decision, and didn't work out. I didn't see if Origi was on the bench or not. We looked better with two up front.

It still needs to get a lot better, and fast.

When its not going for you...that wasnt bad, it just wasnt good enough.

Coutinho was doing an CRonaldo impression at times.
Apart from the bit where Ronaldo scores 9 goals in his last 3 games...

Coutinho is not mature enough to lead our midfield and our attacking game unsupported. Milner is proving to be a fairly lame vice captain and key player - he's way too important to our team.

Looking at United's attack, every position in the second half of the pitch has a player who is clinical in the final third. We have one such player - Sturridge - who at least a 4 weeks from full fitness. In every other position we have chance wasters.

Our goalkeeper continues to do absurd things and is and always has been ill-suited to our team. One thing that didn't surprise us is that Mamadou Sakho is a good defender, unlike every other CB in the Liverpool squad.

Our midfield doesn't command games and the flow and tempo of the game, our attack is not clinical and has a poor understanding - since it's almost entirely changed two years in a row now - and our defence is at times terrified of a Norwich attack at home and backs off.

And this is a big improvement on previous weeks!

Maybe the improvement will continue, let's wait and see till Christmas.
