The good news is that he is weight bearing now.  Doesn’t seem to have a boot on anymore.
It sure what that means for recovery time, but it’s good to see progress.

I've no idea on timeframes from "watching football in your socks" to "playing top level professional football".  Can't be that long  ;)

Who knows.  If he’s like Gomes then he’s halfway back to full training.

But he might still be months and months away

the other day on his IG story he was hammering an exercise bike (I forget the exact name of them - not a spinning bike, but similar). wasn't even a leisurely pace which surprised me. Pretty optimistic he'll be back.

Sounds like he could be back after the international break.
Welshred from my memory said it was a 3 month injury the break part, we dont know his ligament damage.
His injury was on sept 12, I don't expect him back at the earliest until Christmas period or early 2022 unless there an update from the club which I don't expect other then he back in training

Depends on the ligament damage.  Which we have no idea about.

Also important for his career.  Gomes has been shit since he came back.

A bit harsh on Joe  ;D.  I feel like I'm going to incur the wrath of Welshred but I think Gomez's injury was the worst of the lot and is, or at least used to be, known as a career ender in the NBA.  It's good we're in a position to bring him back into the fold at a much slower rate.  It's complete speculation but it's possible his training is still focussed more on strengthening than match preparation so he's not going to be as sharp as the others.

I think Fofana's injury was very loosely comparable to Harvey's (fracture plus ligament damage).  Fofana suffered his about a month before Harvey and Leicester have been saying recently that he's doing better than expected so could be available shortly after Christmas.  Fofana plus a month may be a useful rough guide so late January/early February time but if he's back sooner then that would be a nice bonus.

Looks like he’s stepped up his recovery
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Well this is positive….

Although his right foot turns out a bit when he runs… but it might have done that anyway….
Let’s hope it’s more minor like Gomes’ one
