The best part of I Partridge is where Alan basically blames McCallister for his own shooting and implies that he did him a favour, as he'd probably have died of some terrible illness soon enough.  And says that 'I won't be the first chat show host to shoot someone dead on British tv, and I won't be last'

Yep. He keeps referring to Forbes's sweaty palms as the reason the gun went off, but says that's his opinion and not of the Courts. He also says it's the real reason he didn't get a 2nd series, which makes him as much of a victim as Forbes. He also complains that he bled on the sofa that was hired for the show, so he cost him the deposit on that too.
