Great start, loved that.

Salah just makes world class performances look routine, he was outstanding. Thought Trent and Keita were both excellent, Fabinho and Firmino were great when they came on, Tsimikas had a couple of moments where he switched off but was really good overall, it's great to see VVD and Matip back and looking so comfortable, Alisson is just the best goalkeeper in the world.

Really good performance, three points on the board and a lot more to come.

If I'm being picky, I'd say Tsimikas should've been taken off after 70. He visibly tired and made a few mistakes
Yeah, concentration fell off a cliff. We'll put it down to it being the longest he's played in Premier League.

Tsimikas is a bit of a loon isn’t he but he’s fun to watch!
His pull back around 75mins give or take was a particular cracker
Nice 3 points, great pressing
Stay fit and get a few games under their belts, especially the main men returning and it should be a good season.
Any away win is great in the prem

Easy as yer like.

When you think we went through most of last season without a recognised CB & now we have 4 top class ones to choose from.

Bring it on. Well done boys.

Lovely stuff.

Hollow victory. Virgil’s shove on Pukki in the build up to the first goal was disgraceful. Didn’t notice it at first but thankfully Sky highlighted it. Will probably take a break from football now.

Brilliant second half. Looked in total control. It’s very early but if those that either didn’t play last season or were uncharacteristically poor can revert back to their old selves, we could have an exciting season on our hands.

How fucking good it is to have real football back. Been absolutely shite without fans.

So good to watch the reds. Bring on everyone.
Yep. Last season was a sham and null and void in all but name.

It's good to see football now back.

Pretty much the perfect start.  Three points, three goals, no injuries  :-X

Keita and Tsimikas probably the pick of the non-regulars.  Ox not quite finding his niche yet but put plenty of effort in.

Second half was definitely a step up and we purred with Fab and Bobby on the pitch.  Lovely to see Harvey getting the nod late on.

Decent performance.

Keita looked promising but I'm not sure if I want to get my hopes up on him again. Seems to happen every season where he shows promise but under delivers.

Front three all looked lively. Nice goals, movement, assists.

In defence Tsimikas makes us abit vulnerable but is alright as a second option I guess. Van Dijk looks bit rusty but should improve in time.

Hope we get a new player or two before the transfer window closes.

Comfortable win and a very good team performance. We had 14 players who were all better than anything on the Norwich side. Mo played well but so did all the other players. Alisson "Thou shall not pass" Becker showed how much he wants to keep a clean sheet.

After the first 15-20 mins, it was the very definition of comfortable.

The front 3 where very good (and 4 with Bobby). Keita was good, Tsimikas did well till late on where he seemed to get very fatigued. Matip looked class.

All in all hugely positive start, especially starting the game without maybe the 3 midfielders many would consider our best.

Norwich are going to have a tough few weeks, hard to see where they pick up points for a bit, they have no bite. Other than that mad triple save from Ali when we where already 3 up, they offered so little. And that Cantwell is a winey little shit, just breath on him and he cries.

Cantwell is a poor man’s Fernandes isn’t he?

In fairness to Norwich they won the falling over contest hands down - and Marriner bought virtually all of them.

Good win and though Mo got MoM, I thought big Joel ran him close.

Good win. Thought that had the potential to be a tricky one, but we managed it well and looked so much better with Fabinho on the pitch. One win at a time.

3-0!
A good, solid start to the season. Jota, Salah, Firmino scored, a clean sheet for Alisson, VVD back, a good first hour by Tsimikas, Elliott got to play,.. we got pretty much all we could have asked for.

Great performance, particularly the second half, with a bit sharper finishing we could have had a few more.
The team really controlled the game, especially when Fab came on. Bobby really knits things together, a really important part of our play, really please he scored. Total control more or less, although perhaps Norwich were tiring by the time Fab was on?

Matip was excellent, only time he lost challenges was when he was being fouled, but Marriner is a dick. Cantwell spends half his time falling over and then takes Jota out when it would have been 2 on 1 - is there a better definition of a goal scoring opportunity?

Norwich threatened in the first 20 minutes but it was cruise control since then.

2nd half especially once Bobby and Stan came on, they helped us take total control of the game.

Great goal instincts by Diogo for the 1st goal. Elated for Bobby to score so early in the season.

Fantastic performance by Salah, Matip, TAA. VVD easing in, Tsimikas did well.

Onto Burnley at Anfield!

Good start with a lot of promise, but still alot can improve. But when the lads will be fully match fit and in rhytm we will hopefully dominate them all 😊 Gonna be a tough season against the oil clubs and Manu as well. But if we can find our top form and keep it up for a while then I am sure we can go all the way.

Come on Liverpool! YNWA!!!

Very good performance. Salah & Trent the standouts.

Matip is so underated.

If he could stay fit the whole season it would be massive.
Van Dijk looked rusty but great to get the 90 mins.

Tsimikas was mixed after he started to tire he made a few errors but done well in large parts as well.

A really good start. And how wonderful it was to have the fans there.

We did miss Fabinho in the midfield in some moments. However, any team would miss Fabinho. Also really looking forward to seeing Thiago in this team now. The front three seems to be really "on", and when our midfield is settled, this could be good

One grumble on five minutes “refs are going to let more go this year, you can’t expect to be given free kicks for slightest  touch anymore.”  Someone should have told Marriner and Norwich then, as they got plenty for being barely touched.  The comment from the commentator came just after Tsimikas was taken out late by something that was more of a foul than any of the ones we committed with the exception of Milner’s booking.

Riley’s idea “light touch”
Basically the foreign refs made him and his PGMOL mates look even bigger incompetent gobshites, because they reffed the game well. Riley’s response is to make them “let play flow” - not actually improve like.
Shite touch refereeing.
