The shirt looks fine, but imagine if Nike's 'inspiration' was the nice and simple 1944/45 kit as show below. I'd need a popcorn maker for when the shorts and socks are revealed.

miss gold liver bird from NB era but awful... really?

I meant when we had the whole club crest. Way too complicated.

The old crest is a cluttered mess. Colours all over the place too. Whenever I look at older kits that I regarded as being decent back then, my eye is immediately drawn to the crest and I can't help bit wish it were the modern - or older - badge instead. It reminds me of something you'd see at Christmas or something.

I never liked the full crest. As has been said, it's far too cluttered and busy. For me, by far the worst was our Centenary crest. That was horrible.  :o

I like the 50s crest in my avatar, the oval one that came after, and also the 1980s shield. The bird should always be really big and proud, be it on its own as in today's shirts, or on a shield.

Totally agree. That centenary badge was terrible, minimising the liver bird. What were they thinking.
Todays badge is wonderful. The Liver Bird. Nothing else should be near that beautiful symbol.

Looks like a snakeskin pattern on it! Oh and I know it's a mock-up but it has 96 not 97 on the back.

Good to see they know Mo is staying though. :thumbup

Good spot, it is the kind of detail that can be missed. I wonder if someone at the club knows?

I'd imagine these are fan made mock-ups. Maybe from real information. They don't look anything like real pics of the finished product. Probably months too soon for that.

I've always preferred the gold liverbird that we first used mid 70's. I loved my HITACHI shirt when I was a kid.

Absolutely love it. In fact, I'm sad when in 23/24 Nike go back to their usual colourful red monstrosity to compensate for their one year of tasteful elegance.

Is AXAs training kit deal until end of 22 or 23? Will there be new training kits? Prefer a smaller AXA logo, but like it more than Standard Chartered. The current green one is brilliant imo.

Always hated how we don't have the stars on our shirts. Was watching a Bayern game recently and I noticed they were wearing them on theirs. Don't see why we don't have them on it.

AXA, it is the latest expansion to its deal with Liverpool. In 2018, the pair initially struck a four-year global partnership, which was expanded in May 2019 with the insurance company becoming the club’s training kit partner until the end of the 2021/22 season in a UK£20 million (US$26 million) a year deal.

The AXA Training kit sponsorship is set to end this summer. However all the training designs for next season have AXA on them so assume its been extended?

You'd assume it's been extended as the training ground is named after them. That £20m a season is more than most clubs get for main shirt sponsorships, it really is amazing what we've been able to do in this last decade

Bundesliga is a weird system

1 star for 3 titles won
2 stars for 5 titles won
3 stars for 10 titles won
4 stars for 20 titles won

Bayern were allowed to have 5 golden stars after there 30th title win

Neckline looks quite low and not sure about the pointless darker red bit on the back but that's being very picky, I really like it.
