Definitely worried for his development at the moment
I'm guessing Kenny rate's Shelvey higher?

I don't think it's a case of kenny rating him higher, i think his lack of involvement has more to do with the games we've been involved in.

I think once we get to a comfortable position in a game, dani will be given his chance

If he's good enough, he will be given an opportunity.  Right now, I think he is way over-hyped.   Lets not revist "les gems" again and start calling him the new Zidane before he's done anything to deserve.

Kenny's 87-88 team played arguably the best football in not just the club's history but English football history. He loves forward thinking stylish players such as himself.

Okay, that is good to hear. Maybe I was just too worried about the early signal regarding approach from Kenny. But hopefully the more adventurous players will get some playing time.

3-0 up at wolves, only two subs were used, and both defensive. I'm worried.  Cole, Pacheco, even Ngog should have got a few minutes.

Dont think he's over hyped at all. No ones calling him the next Iniesta. People want to see him based on years worth of impressing in the reserves and looking a level or two above that standard of football. Its not like he's only recenty arrived with a massive label of being the next whoever, people have had the privilage of watching him for years now and being able to form an opinion.

3-0 up at wolves we had about 20 seconds left, so i don't know why that worried you. Plus, even at 2-0 up, we still hadn't actually won a game under Kenny Dalglish since his appointment to manager. Kenny will do whats right for the first team and the kids. He knows these kids far, far better than anyone else bar the youth coaches do, having been the ambassador for the acadamy for what, 18 months before he took over. Dani's getting on the bench, he's a member of the squad. With Babel gone and us not having yet signed anyone for the first team squad, that means Dani's moved up a peg on the ladder.

Have some patience.

And a feast for the friends and faces met along way

I think Shelvey has been playing because he's played for Charlton so Kenny probably sees him with a more high-level experience.

Probably wants to bring Pacheco in when things are going smooth so it puts less pressure on Kenny himself but also on Pacheco.

I think there was a stretch of 3 years where any team featuring Gareth Bale didn't register a win in the PL, including a stretch of 2 and a half years where he didn't play in any wins in any competitions. He was eventually part of a side winning a PL game, when Redknapp brought him on when Spurs were 4 or 5 up.

Danis not a CF and his best position is in behind a striker, he is a Bergkamp in the making.

So when we sell Gerrard in the summer for 35 million to madrid he will get a chance.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Any news on the lad getting a move via loan/ sold?? Seen Ngoo and Wilson get their move with some success already, surely dani is the next in line. Would like to see him maybe at blackpool or even back to Norwich. He just needs games!!

Needs to go on loan asap.

His contract expires summer 2014.

Send him on loan now with a view to making a decision in the summer as to whether we 1) sell him for whatever we can or 2) extend his contract. Hard to imagine that option one wouldnt be the far likelier outcome.

Otherwise we are looking at a situation where there's a strong chance he could end up seeing out his contract and leaving on a free (we'd still get training compensation but it would be a lot less than a transfer fee in all probability ; and that's before we take into account the additional year's wages - which would be not inconsiderable for a player in the reserves)

I'd guess that if anyone had enquired about him on loan, we wouldn't have objected - suggesting either no one has, or the player isn't interested. As for the likelihood of him leaving on a free - I don't think there's much transfer value in him anyway at this stage.

Probably needs to go to an ambitious segunda division side and work his way up. He needs games in his next move. Will have to take a paycut i would imagine but he is just wasting his time here. Really have to question his ambition at this point.

Say he's on wages of £10k a week thats £500k for a year.

If he's on wages of £20k that a £1m in wages for a year.

Hard not to see some club willing to pay £1m for him.

Good move for him and for the club.

Some might say he should have got a move to a higher level but I'd imagine getting him the maximum amount of playing time was a key factor.

Odds are this is all about making him more marketable in preparation for a sale to Spain in the summer, given his contract expires in summer 2014.

Trivia alert : Antonio Nunez (remember him?) is a member of the Huesca squad. He has made 33 appearances and scored 5 goals since joining them last winter transfer window (January 2012)

I am sure he will get game time at Huesca, I just wish he was going somewhere with a Coach better suited to his style. D'Alessandro is a hot-headed old-school journeyman who has spent his career using negative tactics and getting relegated. Nowadays he just goes anywhere for a pay cheque. I had the pleasure/misfortune of seeing a couple of Nastic games last season and they were truly awful.

Good luck Dani.

A lot in here thinking he wont be back, sooo what if he excels down there with goals and assists and all round play, he has been the standout player in the U21s this year and will be sorely missed there. I think he will be back as he suits the way we play, hopefully this move will kick start his career here at LFC :wave

OK, at least we've arranged a loan for him. I wish him luck there.

I just don't know why he's still here. How long has he been pushed away without much of a plan? Since Rafa left, with a brief exception when he was with Norwich, almost two years ago.

What are we waiting for? Why can't we make the decision everyone is waiting for?
