Didn’t see the race today but thought Ballycasey was an interesting runner, very decent horse if not quite top drawer. Not sure Mick Fitz is much of a ringing endorsement though!

Hoping for a better show from Summerville Boy tomorrow, though it’s a shame Laurina won’t be there.

Haha I know I was a bit disappointed when I heard him pick out the same horse as myself but if he can be right once then he can be right twice.
Would expect Summerville Boy to do the business tomorrow, they were saying he'd come on a pile for his first run back and that was as hot a race as your going to get over hurdles.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

Not sure about Midnight Run heading to the Champion Bumper now that Gigginstown have bought him so I'm going to back him tomorrow @ 7/1 to pull off the upset against Envoi Allen. The money came for him on his first run and I think we might see the same again tomorrow.

I'm liking Squouateur today. Back over hurdles and first time cheekpieces. A proper nearly horse over fences and that has led to a 7lb drop in his hurdles mark, he likes to be waited with so no better man than Barry on board, nice price and well worth an each way bet I think. 14/1

Battleoverdoyen looked pretty good in the 2m maiden at Navan earlier. Not sure what he’s beaten but I’ve yet to see anything that impressive in the 2m novice div so far

Don't think Gigginstown have ever won the Supreme have they so I'm not sure if he'll line up in that?

Good run from Midnight Run beaten a couple of lengths by Envoi Allen, still think he's good value for the bumper if he actually ends up in it.

Yep not sure whether he’ll go Supreme or Ballymore, about 16/1 in both markets now.

Do Gigginstown run horses in the bumper, I didn’t think they usually did?

They normally don't but they had a fancied one in it last year that I can't think the name of. Envoi Allen was 4/1 favourite for it after Malone Road was ruled out, my boy got within 4 or 5 lengths of him today and I think he'll appreciate the hill a lot more than a flat 2 miles considering he won his bumper at Galway which has a fairly steep climb to the finish as well if I'm not mistaken. Clipped in to 20s from 33s now after today.

Just seen Envoi Allen is back in the betting at 5/1. Still gonna go for the value with my lad.

Read that Elliot doesn’t think Envoi Allen ready for the Cheltenham bumper so sounds like he’ll give it a miss as well. Sounds like Battleoverdoyen will be going up in trip to so think I’ll take the 16/1 for the Ballymore

I highly doubt Envoi will go for the bumper, he's a big raw horse, would likely do him no favours going into that battle so soon.

No Gold Cup winner in the King George. Think last years GC has left its mark on Might Bite and possibly Native River too.

Pleased with Le Richeburg today. Looks a decent Arkle horse plus a good boost to Delta Works form

I don’t know if the Gold Cup has taken its toll on Might Bite but I can’t imagine Henderson running him at Aintree after that race did him any favours. I think if he had his time back he definitely would not do that.

Great to see Thistlecrack back to something like his best though. Love that horse.

Could be right, certainly I think the gold cup has played its part though, it’s was really gruelling conditions they crawled over the line. Still right now I think Presenting Percy and Road to Respect are the two for me, hopefully they both run in the Savills Chase later this week.

Happy with the run of Battleofdoyern today. Hard to know what he beat given Tornado Flyer didn’t run his race but gotta have a decent chance if he turns up at Cheltenham.

That Master Dino looks a monster. Just wonder if he'll be fucked by the time Cheltenham comes around. He's been on the go since 29th September and ran right up until June before that. That's a long time to keep a horse in tip top nick.

I think that was proper race mate, the time posted was very very good. He also posted a very decent time first time out and was barely extended so I think there's genuine substance to his form. I'd have him miles ahead of samcro from this time last year, just not as much of a talking horse.

Altior majestic as ever yesterday. I think he’ll probably go well in the QM...

Was a good comeback from Fox Norton as well, not sure if they will get another run in before Cheltenham but he has an excellent record round there and I’d be interested if he goes for the Ryanair.

A bit after timing here but Barry Geraghty is the most over rated jockey in the world and should be jobbed off sharpish by JP. He has so many good young horses these days, needs to get a good jockey as no.1 and he'll be flying.

Dickie Diver is a great shout for the Albert Bartlett but I can't back him because I know Geraghty will be on board.

Finally looks as though Presenting Percy will take up his engagement at Gowran Park tomorrow, same hurdle race he won last year I think.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they then follow the same route to Cheltenham and take in the Red Mills Chase before the Gold Cup. I know he’s short at 4/1 given he hasn’t run yet but I think he’s the most likely winner based on last years RSA and what I’ve seen of the rest this season. Certainly the most impressive RSA performance since Denman.

i honestly think if they can get a run into Sizing John he wins it. Best horse in the race comfortably for me just been completely forgotten by many.

On one of those pre Cheltenham previews last year Elliott said Presenting Percy's the best staying novice chaser in Ireland by a mile and would win the Gold Cup this year. Didn't do anything to make me believe he's wrong about that.

I personally think it was a fairly ordinary bunch though.

If you think about Sizing John, he was finishing only behind Douvan over an inadequate trip in the top 2 mile races.

Presenting Percy was a handicapper that beat not much in a soft ground RSA.

A good to soft festival if Sizing John gets a decent prep he takes all the beating in my eyes.

I'd want them to be getting a run into him sometime soon for me to even give him a second glance. He hasn't run since Christmas 2017, Native River was off for a while before returning just before the festival last year but it was still considerably shorter than Sizing John's lay off. I'd be worried about him bouncing to the moon.

I don’t think last years RSA was a bad race at all.

Monalee who prefers it soft was well beaten in second but has shown a decent level of form this year, may be his best is slightly shorter than 3m. Elegant Escape has finished second in the Hennessy and won the Welsh National. Al Boum Photo would have won 2 grade 1s in a row after falling in the RSA if not for Townend’s brainfreeze.

Percy beat them all smoking a cigar. I just believe he’s the best out there and think he’ll be very tough to beat on Gold Cup day.

Be great to see Sizing John come back to his best but I’d have my doubts given the amount of time off. Also think he’ll be up against some better horses in this years Gold Cup than in 2017, and I say that as a fan of his and backer in that gold cup.

Pleased with that given I’m sure there’s more to come. Expect it’ll be the Red Mills next then the GC. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if this has been the plan all along, think they know what they’ve got here.

Could be but the owner has been at pains to say all Christmas that he's been ready and they've wanted him out earlier. That was a much stronger renewal that he won this year so was pleasing to see him win it fairly comfortably. In to 3/1 now which is a bit skinny, think the English horses have under performed so far and surely they're better than they've shown so is probably a false price.

Hard to know whether to believe anything you hear in this game mind 😂

Definitely a better race than last years. It does seem a short price given that he’s not jumped a fence yet this season, so you’d have to say there’s a fair amount of hype factored in. I guess it comes down to whether you think he’ll justify it and I’m definitely in that camp.

Looking forward to seeing how Daphne Du Clos goes for Henderson today, same sire and connections as Laurina and beat Western Ryder in a bumper nearly 2 years ago now. 7/1 for the Mares Novice Hurdle at the festival.

Stream failed me miserably so didn't get to watch it, she didn't finish in the places anyway. Still one to keep onside though I think, that was nearly a 2 year layoff she was coming back from.

Another star bumper horse for Gordon Elliot, Andy Dufresne, had a small ante post bet on him at 33's before his bumper today. He's now as short as 12/1 and I can only see it getting shorter.

Be a real shame if they dodge the Champion Hurdle after that, nothing has got near her this year. Buveur D’Air would provide a proper test but on this years form I know who my money would be on.

I don’t think Previous Mares winners or Gr1 winners should be allowed in the Mares, would make for much better Champion and Stayers Hurdles.
