I chose my user name because I kind of admired Charlie. Not in the sense that he was a favourite player or anything. He was never ever good enough for us, but I quite liked the idea that someone with his physique and speed could carve out a career as a footballer.
Watching him was almost like a 70's player playing 40 years too late. Never naturally quick to start with, but with an enjoyment of burgers, and the drink trying to compete with people taking it seriously. The odd nice touch, but gassed after 20 and often arriving that little bit late for tackles.
My main point is, after that tirade against Shaquiri, he can fuck off. How about keeping yourself in half decent nick before having a go at others, especially one that did the numbers Shaquiri did in a side that scored 35 goals.
