Corners are not so numerous, you cannot check them. It takes a few seconds for a VAR referee to confirm. And they can directly lead to goals, which is not the case with a throw-in.

There can be 20+ corners in a match, and you can't just check for the corner - you would have to check everything in the build-up to make sure one can be awarded (e.g. for an offside or a foul).

If a team has a player who can launch a throw-in into the box can they have throw-ins VAR checked?
