You just know Real will sneak a goal here and go through and then lose 5-0 on aggregate to City

Corners are not so numerous, you cannot check them. It takes a few seconds for a VAR referee to confirm. And they can directly lead to goals, which is not the case with a throw-in.

There can be 20+ corners in a match, and you can't just check for the corner - you would have to check everything in the build-up to make sure one can be awarded (e.g. for an offside or a foul).

If a team has a player who can launch a throw-in into the box can they have throw-ins VAR checked? ;D
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

Throw ins can directly lead to goals
I would say the percentage of goals scored directly from a throw-ins is considerably lower than that from corners.

2-0 down at home to a team containing Ruben Loftus Cheek. Quite the comedown for Ancelotti
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I get everyone wanting Chelsea to lose but do we really think Real get anywhere near City over two legs? Would be an absolute bloodbath.

Man City have to survive going to the Wanda Metropolitano first. Atletico's shithousery will be through the roof and their supporters will be up for this. Atletico know how to defend and Man City aren't really that up for a fight, when teams don't just roll over for them...

Chelsea because Tuchel at least challenges Guardiola. If you have watched this tie and are giving Real Madrid any chance of avoiding a seeing to I'd love to know why.
