Disgusting practice that. Would have picked it up at 75% off but they can fuck off giving one console 75% and the other 50%

If the PS5 update isn’t a bag of nails I’ll get this again for £9! Probably won’t play it straight away but I skipped it on PS4 so it’s been a while and I really enjoyed it first time round.

Is this happening to anyone else, playing story mode, & put the waypoint to Franklin's safehouse in the Vinewood Hills, every time i take a taxi & confirm the waypoint as the destination, the taxi is dropping Franklin off on the next road down, & Franklin is always getting a wanted level. :no

I mean, you know what the only logical outcome to this situation is? You need to rag the driver out the taxi, steal it, run him over, and drive home yourself. Well that’s what I’d do anyway  ;D

Personally wouldn’t spend a penny more on this game. Gladly bought it again for the PS4 having owned it on the 360. This release is a massive piss take though, but it’s their cash cow so hardly surprising.

I second this. A very good and somewhat underrated game.

i third this. played it a few years ago. very enjoyable

almost finished gta v story now and its still gta iv all day for me. the storyline in this is just a bit silly in parts and too convenient in terms of how it is linked together. still a great game though.

I did the same, owned GTA V on the 360, brought a PS4 so brought GTA V for the PS4, & GTA V is far superior on the PS4, than on the 360[even PS3], Rockstar are lazy, raking in the ££s from GTA Online, see releases, like the half arsed release of GTA The Trilogy, The Definitive Edition.

60fps is pretty obvious to me, and ray traced shadows.

As someone who mods his PC version the new "enhanced" version is trash. Maybe it has some slightly improved engine changes which, basically, I hope go to PC

You haven't completed it until you play it on all three consoles, PS3, PS4 and PS5. Another 18 years by which time GTA 6 should be in it's final development stages.

Are they? People keep throwing money at them no matter how much outrage there seems to be on the internet. They've just released their third or fourth version of GTA V and it's top of the digital sales in the UK (https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2022-03-25-grand-theft-auto-5-ends-elden-rings-reign-at-no-1-uk-digital-charts). They're making shitloads of money selling digital assets for GTA online. And people are already wanking themselves to sleep in expectance of GTA VI. Unless people stop giving them money for shite like this, there's no reason for them to stop doing it, it's that simple.

Hey, Stoa. I see you in these threads not directly defending the industry but often putting the blame on the customers. I agree, mate. This is not UNICEF and every company exists to earn money. But at the same time, there has to be balance here. What about taking some of that money they have earned and make a brand new game. Give something back to loyal customers. Instead, we get new forms of micro transactions and subscrition services. You can add a laughable remaster of the classic GTA games as well. That was as close to a total scam as you can get.

I don’t know. There’s a reason I’m not the CEO of anything. You can make major profits without fleecing your loyal fanbase, is the point I’m trying make.

I'm not trying to defend the industry and if it came across as that, I'm sorry. It's just that the constant whining on the internet about how the gaming industry is shite and how developer/publisher X or Y is not what they used to be is becoming annoying. That won't change anything. What will change things, is not buying the next shiny new Fifa just because it has a 22 instead of a 21 in the end. Not buying the fourth itearation of the same game just updated for a new generation of consoles. Not spending money on microtransactions or stuff you don't think is worth it. Whining about how shite it all is, is no real use to anyone when sales figures suggests that the companies are make money with shite stuff. Again, the newest GTA V is top of the digital sales in the UK. An update of a game that was released two console generations ago. I don't care about it and a lot of other people in here don't either, but it seems many others do and spend money on it (even if it's not that much on PS5).

It's a bit like people whining about how shite the Simpsons have become and how it should be canceled. I just don't get it. If it's shite just stop watching it. I did at around season 20  and I have no problems because of it. The series still running doesn't bother me one bit. Same as with the shite practices in the gaming industry. I hate the Ubisoft-open-world-blueprint which makes every open world game they do the same no matter what franchise it is. Therefore, I'm not buying those games. What do I lose because of that? Nothing. On the contrary, it gives me the time to play stuff that is fun.

And there is still loads of stuff out there worth its money and making people love playing games as shown by various threads in this forum about Elden Ring (which seems to be a hit with people even though it's not my cup of tea), Horizon Forbidden West (or whatever it's called) and loads of other shouts in the "what are you playing"-thread. Yeah, Rockstar making another new edition of GTA V, having shitloads of microtransactions, introducing a monthly payment scheme or putting out a lacklustre remake of the GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas is shite. And yeah I rather wish they'd put that effort into producing a new game, but they won't give a flying fuck about what I think, because they won't get money from me for their newest GTA V edition, microtransactions or that stupid remake. They'll get money from me for a GTA VI. The problem is, that's a one off and there are more people who seem to be prepared to throw money at them on a regular basis for useless stuff (at least from my point of view). No point whining about that.

Yeah, don't think there's disagreement except for the way we're dealing with things. It's just that as the older I get the more I realise it's no use worrying or discussing stuff you can't really influence anyway. It's why I basically just watch our matches and don't bother with tactics, players or possible signings. When we sign a player, I'll get the news somehow. There's no point in following a transfer from the moment rumours start until the contract is signed all the way discussing or following discussions about whether that player is worth signing, worth paying x millions for or whatever. It's kind of pointless, because the discussion won't change anything. It just takes up time I could be using for different things and it's exhausting...

The PS5 single player version is fine
brings it up to snuff with the PC version basically.

Playing it as Cops and Robbers is still neat.

But not doing online. That's holding the industry back and holding Rockstar back. I'd rather have RSR2 at 60fps anyway

I know i'm a bit late replying to this, but get the feeling Rockstar trying this out, & may implement it to GTA 6, or any online version of GTA 6, but no chance of me paying for any subscription regardless how long the subscription is.

On another note, is it me, or anyone else annoyed that, what's the point that the writers, writing great dialog for the cut scenes, in both GTA V & RDRII, then you feel forced to skip those cut scenes, in order to meet timing objective for 100% gold. :no

Some details on GTA6 from Bloomberg today - sounds like the main playable characters are a Bonnie and Clyde style couple, while the setting is a fictional Miami and the surrounding areas.
