I guess we could come up with a half decent team with the managers this lot had.  :D ;D

Too much Lippi service will get you the Sacchi...

Happy to do any draft but was waiting as Elzar was talking about a Christmas sheep draft. Anyone heard from him?

Sorry been busy the last week or so and not had a chance to get on or think about categories.

Happy to do it still, but might need a few people throwing some suggested categories my way. Is there enough interest?

80s Draft can be be done also

I had a weird thought while sitting on the bus the other day, we should create a "Drafting Championship Belt" for the football drafts. Basically starting from the next draft, the winner becomes the champion. Then the next draft after that the winner takes on the current champion team for the belt. It just becomes a continuous thing so someone is constantly champion.

This looks fun, finding the crossover players, and players that will be safe till the end would be an interesting challenge

The 80's draft was Betty's idea but he said he's drinking busy till after the new year. So we'll  leave that one till later.

Ye betty was saying during the 90s draft that we can do a draft for all decades then the winners can play each other. One for the new year!  :D

Another version is:

The idea for the managers draft would be maximum of 2 players who were manged by a EC winning manager.  The players would be judged on the time they had with the specific club.  So you can't pick 11 players who won us #6.  :D

That was my thinking. Happy to throw categories over. How many do we need?

Players born in December
Middle Eastern footballers - i.e. where Jesus was born
Footballers called Chris
Footballers called Nick, Nicholas or any equivalents (St. Nicholas)
Footballers from Norway - they gift a tree to us every year
Players to have scored in a Premier League boxing day fixture (a christmas cracker)
Players who have played for red home kit teams - Santa = Red (not blue, you weirdo evertonians)

A start...

I'll start a thread, if we can get people joining they might start thinking of more categories they can throw over and I'll just pick the best

I'd like to steal Linudden's FM draft and use CM 03/04, but there's no rush for it with the holidays and people probably needing a break from it anyway. I was thinking January.

I just got a New Years' idea:

Messi and Ronaldo's team mates draft! There are definitely some to pick and choose from:

Any player who's played with either in Sporting, Man United, Real Madrid, Juventus or Portugal in Ronaldo's case and in Barcelona or Argentina in Messi's case.

Needless to say, the main men themselves would be excluded  :P

Sounds good?

Right seeing as Elzhar's draft didn't take off, let's get this one going.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:UEFA_Champions_League_winning_managers

Version#1 or Version#?

An idea for a draft, We each get given say European Cup winning mangers and we pick players who played for them? The players would be judged on the time they had with the specific club.  So you can't pick 11 players who won us #6.  :D Something different, how about it?  :D
Another version is:

I'm a little fuzzy on the actual rules for version 2.  We have to pick a maximum of 2 players managed by a EC winning manager, but what about the other 9 players, they don't have any criteria?

2 players per EC/CL winning manager. So basically you can't pick 3 players that played for Kloppo.  :D
