If his teammates fluff easy chances then he shouldn't be blamed for not having assists.

Is that happening right now though, or all season? Is there recency bias at play here?

It is hard to remember but there was long stretches of time this year where our attack was purring, but he wasn't assisting.

There's obvious reasons behind it but there was a period between October and mid January where people were very much questioning how good he was, talk that we need a better left sided attacker.

He is great now but let's not pretend this is the player we have had all season, nor that he is a contributing factor this attack both good and bad

as he has lost some pace/dynamism with age, he was also forced to play wider to accommodate Nunez. i still think he'll be a top-class forward if we had centred our game around him.

i also think this current round of criticism is somewhat unfair. he came back from an extended injury (in Salah's terms) and was expected to instantly perform in a title challenge whilst the majority of the rest of the team also have been crap. his numbers would've looked more passable if we could finish chances - i don't think that's an age thing it's just a lack of confidence/form.

What commuters are paying in the UK is a bad joke, especially when you consider the quality of service people are getting.

Wouldn't mind paying what we're paying at the moment if the money actually went back into improving the railways rather than into an executives pocket!

If Arne Slot is our next manager, he’ll have a very exciting DM to work with and develop in Bajcetic. Having him fit and available for pre-season would be huge, he has the talent to become a very important player for us going forward.

He's been here long enough now to know he will never be a clinical striker. He reminds me (not in style) but in consistency to Andy Cole at United in the 90's, there was a reason Fergie was after Shearer.

Without Yorke he most certainly would have been binned off.

So perhaps that's what we need somebody that compliments him.

we mentally lost this at Old Trafford and all-but-completely lost it at Goodison. that is an unbelievably sad ending for one of our greatest managers. he deserved way better and has been let down.

going to be a bleak summer where i'll have to not think of football at all lol

Hope Arsenal win it now we’re not going to - they’ve been clearly the best team in the league this season

I'm really surprised Jurgen hasn't given him a chance. Young players with talent can often have a bit more success in their first few games because opponents haven't got used to them. Familiarity makes it harder. Plus Danns looks like the sort of lad who is unencumbered by nerves or fear of failure.

I know it's said every season but this is the first summer where I've thought he probably will go. Not because I think he's shit but he's on 32 and on 350k a week with 1 year left before he goes on a free. Sad to say but it just makes financial sense.

I thought we'd see more of Salah in the middle as his pace declined but whenever he plays it's still down the right. That threat simply isn't there in the prem.

I think he's mentally not with it and I think he's hurt just as much as we are with Klopp quitting. He's the manager who got the most out of him.

In a slower league he might do well but given his age I don't see Edwards begging his agent for a new contract.

Absolute legend and his contribution to the first half of the season immense but the club have always moved on from players.
The middle is more physical and he's not winning his duels.

It's time.
