AirTwist for DoubleTwist is good. I have only recently discovered this.

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.doubleTwist.androidPlayer
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.doubleTwist.androidPlayerProKey

Wirelessly sync your music, photos and videos to your Android phone with a user interface similar to that of iTunes. Even lets you import your playlists from iTunes which is useful. You need AirTwist to do the wireless syncing. If you just get DoubleTwist you have to do it via your USB I believe.

Anyone have a good golf app?

Let's Golf 2 is quite good but pretty slow loading times, you can only get it off the Gameloft website.

Try that DoubleTwist app I talked about. There's a Mac client for it as well I think.

I like it

However a few improvements I would like
1 its not as good at editing text as iPhone as its hard to select specific position
2 seeing who a text is from when screen locked like on iPhone
3 will take time to find best set up and best app for music as there are options. Eventually this will be a plus but in short term its not as idiot proof as iPhone.

Have you tried the Handcent app for texts as that shows you text whilst phone is locked. Great app!

1492. We were taught to memorize this year with pride and joy as the year people began living full and imaginative lives on the continent of North America. Actually, people had been living full and imaginative lives on the continent  for hundreds of years before that. It was simply the year sea pirates began to rob, cheat , and kill them.

[Offtopic - not related to Apps]

I am buying an android phone this month end. And I require the help of the gadget wizards to help me out on this. I have about 22 phones on the list (Only HTC and Motorola).

I liked these.

Motorola Milestone 2
Motorola DEFY
HTC Desire Z
HTC Desire HD
HTC Incredible S.

My requirements are a slider QWERTY/QWERTZ, googletalk and skype compatibility, FB/twitter connectivity, Google maps and above average talk time (say about 8 hours).

Suggestions?  Or any phone that I have missed out? :wave

Edit: I am not a gadget freak so I dunno if all android phone support the options in bold. Nevertheless, my requirements.

Mate, My hatred of touchscreen phones began with the Nokia 5800 and continued to the HTC cruise touch. Mainly because they are prone to typos when typing quickly.

I dont mind sacrificing the QWERTY for a touchscreen if its reliable and less prone to such errors. But QWERTY is preferred.

I have the desire, having had the iphones including iphone 4. I have got used to it and now find it quite easy. There is always the odd typo but the way the desire works, and im sure all android, is that they give you a selection so if your wrong it will auto change it or you can pick it yourself. Only thing i miss from iphone is the magnifying glass for chosing a specific region

The rest of what you are asking seems possible for all of the phones, but best to check with someone who has got one of those you listed to explain more.

If you fancy a cheaper option though, the desire is top draw

Is this still on the Android market? When you type in swype it doesnt appear in the list of apps.

Fair points there.
I will wander around a little and , if nothing seems to work out, go with Desire. Ta.  :wave

Getting the right phone is the first step mate.  :P
And if it happens to be a touchscreen, then SWYPE. No doubts.

Another vote for Swype. Swype is the best keyboard I have used. It occasionally gets turned off, but simple to reenable it.

If you are selecting from a web page or email, hold down on the touch screen until the start and end markers appear. Dragging one or the other marker should pop up a magnifier window. When editing some text you are writing, it took me a while to realise that you can move the cursor point using the optical trackball on the Desire.

For SMS, I am now using GoSMS as it is smaller than Handcent. For twitter, I am using Twicca. Other apps I use regularly are ColorNote, CardioTrainer, Sky+ and Our Groceries

Another fantastic app is Tasker (paid - £3.50) which allows you to script actions. I have a couple set which help me to find my phone if I mislay it - the first script on receipt of an SMS message containing a certain code, turns on GPS, finds the current position of the phone and sends it back in an SMS. The second script I use; on receipt of a different code in an SMS, turns the ringer on full volume then rings it.

Get it from their site (http://tasker.dinglisch.net/) and you can get a 7 day free trial to play around with it and see if it will do what you want. It is also cheaper to buy direct than from the market. Example scripts at http://tasker.wikidot.com/profile-index

Just upgraded to the latest version. There is now a voice to text button (which seems to work), and also if you swipe from the Swype button to the SYM button (next to it), you get a keyboard which allows you to move the cursor around and cut and paste easily.

What is it?

Its a game, very simple, you start off with four elements, and you have to make 360 elements from combining them (although they are not all elements in the scientific term)

You start off with water, fire, earth and wind, from there you start to make the remaining elements by combining any two you wish.

Said that and now just found an update with a new level.
