Re cabinet: it was not a question of terminology, I understand that they use the term 'cabinet' in America, (thanks for the hyper-link btw) but a true 'cabinet'style of governace involves the principles of collective responsibility and secrecy, devloving of decision making to the lowest level possible  and primus inter pares, none of which apply in the American system which is Presidential system.

Personally I've always liked Kanye and I think the reason why is like Mase he raps about what he is and what he knows rather than slotting into the black stereotypical gangster style of rap that most others try to follow. Kanye is called "the truth" and I believe it's a good way of summing him up however the truth can be interperated in different ways as it seems this issue has been.

Whether Kanye was right or wrong he had the strength and belief in his convictions to stand up and speak his mind, personally I think he was right in what he said. I wonder if the response would have been the same if this disaster had happened in GB's home state?

I don't think that making a point as he did makes him a racist. Would I buy someones album based on there beliefs ? No. Would it make me more inclined to listen to what they say if I agreed with them. Yes. So maybe people would be more inclined to listen to what he has to say both through speech and music.

As for Colin Powell and the like they may look black but they have been taught to "talk white" as it were.
