For us oldies who remember the original Milky Bar adverts of the 80s, it was pronounced Nessells.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. The first ever recorded pronunciation of 'Nike' (and so the correct one) was on the 3rd of September 1885, in the bar of The Palace Saloon, in Hill Valley, California.

That pronunciation was 'Nee-Kay'.

So there.

You're thinking about the name of the Japanese stock exchange for fucks sake.

But is it pronounced Vall-ee, Vall-ay, Valle or what?

There's not too much available on the club website either...

Unless you fancy spending Ł50 on a t-shirt, or Ł43 on a polo shirt

https://store.liverpoolfc.com/lfc-nike-mens-black-pre-match-top
https://store.liverpoolfc.com/lfc-nike-mens-red-modern-polo

and people wonder why so many still opt for the 'dodgy' tops and kits - or go with the local shops and online for some something different like https://twitter.com/hatscarforabadg

I see, but all it says is coming soon for all the merchandise. Other retailers don't even have it on their website yet, so I'm wondering when the release date is for US.

Are they already selling it in the club stores? Saw before they had the promo images up but I didn't wanna queue up just to get in and find out it was just a pre-order. Had been assuming its release was Aug 6 given the order dates on the website.

Also if they are already selling it anyone know if either of the stores in town have had the vapour shirts in, or if they're sold out like on the site?

Do elaborate

having your own culture sold back to you ..

OK, its more an irritation than all thats wrong in the world, there are plenty of serious issues to worry about but the corporate machine pretending to be part of streets up culture leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So Klopp will be wearing Nike training grear with Addias trainers.

Shocked Nike didn't get Klopp and the coaching team to agree to wear their footwear.

Maybe, Klopp is off to manage Germany or Munich or something soon.

Maybe they tried, and just thought it was a given, but then lost out.

Nike used to sponsor Klopp when he was at Mainz, they didn’t used to pay him back then  ;D

Big coup for Adidas though, with them being a German company. He’s racking up the Bavarian deals at the moment, what with them and Erdinger.
