Diaz looks a hell of a player and special mention for Harvey Elliott, I'm skeptical of making bold claims about young players because they rarely come to fruition, but my god that kid is going to be a star. Excellent attitude and commitment, so calm on the ball. Lad plays like he's a seasoned pro already.

All in all a pretty comfortable win. Not really too much to nitpick though I think oddly enough Bobby was being super greedy and it affected us in the first half. Maybe the pressure of knowing he has to fight for whatever minutes he can get at this point? 4 shots in 45 minutes is a ton for him though and a couple of them weren't ideal. Again that's nitpicking though. Onto Burnley!

Edit: Actually Amarty's two footer on Salah in the penalty box once again shows how just because you get a shot away as a player or get a touch to the ball as a goal keeper doesn't mean that there can't be a foul. This isn't just for the PL but I think they're the worst at it in letting things go if given one of those two reasons. That was the definition of a dangerous play, two footed lunge from behind, and we're lucky no real damage was done to Salah.

Enjoyed that. Especially when Van Dijk tried to show up Cavanagh by spraying his body on the pitch in front of him. The refereeing wasn’t top notch this evening, he would make a perfect target for a pshishing scam.

Loved Jota’s reaction when he saw it was Matip that side footed the ball to him.

Diaz looks like he could have run on for another 60 minutes. He looks like he is going to be another one of those stamina monsters with 3 lungs. Once he learns how we press as a system he’s going to be immense.

It was similar to the one on Mané when it was claimed it couldn't be a penalty as the ball had already gone. Thought it was a penalty myself

Don't think they have troubled us much at Anfield. It's been away to them where we have dropped some points to them - we lost last season, lost this season (although we deserved to win), and drew in the 2018-19 season and we had a close victory in the season before.

Kavanagh was giving fouls when he wasn’t even looking at the ball. That was a shocking late and heavy challenge on Mo.
