That VAR call was fucking bullshit. Like going back to last season's nightmare again.

Good job there's nothing riding on this (although the money men won't be happy if that costs us a couple of mill).

Not great not a disaster, Porto probably had the better chances.

AOC is having a good game, but his decision making is sometimes infuriating. He seems like he's got such a point to prove that he just wants to the dribble past the whole team instead of sliding the easy pass.

I have to admit the most interesting part of the game has been Diogo Costa and his goal-keeping decisions. I was thinking of where he throws the ball of Mane's head! Then he kicks it straight at Salah, even Mo wasn't expecting that.  ;D

Pretty predictable these days how teams want to play against us. I almost think Klopp does this by design so it is easier to predict how teams will attack us by leaving that space open in behind.

But overall, not really fussed. Any result has a positive to it.

Porto are one of the worst teams I have seen for diving. The merest touch results in them diving to the ground. It was funny to see one of them getting injured by their own dive.

Konate needs a bit more matches to sharpen up.

Thought Mane’s goal was too close to call. VAR should not get involved in inches.

Match is finely balanced although we look more comfortable.

Never offside. I thought he was in real time then they showed the freeze-frame and never offside.

I thought it'd probably get called off in real time, watched the replay and dared to think there's no way that'll get called off.

What a crock of shit that system is. Even the PL have applied a bit more sense to it this season.

Intriguing game so far. They've had better chances but spurned them. For their technical ability they certainly love falling over and making the most of any contact. We need to be a bit more secure on the ball and control the game a little bit. Porto are the ones that have to get something from the game so if we make them chase the game then opportunities will open up. We are a little too open in midfield and at the back.

When you consider the size of the gap between Mane's right foot and the red line, I can only surmise that Mane has the biggest shoulders in human history. Some outta call up Guinness and get him in their big book.

Would love to see both full backs push further up and take more risks, i feel this is also dependent on the midfield getting a foothold mind you.

Wish Ian Darke would just shut the fuck up even if it’s just for a few seconds occasionally. He thinks he has to fill moment with his voice, he even resorted to making stuff up. Konate didn’t get sent off against Manchester United in any game, let alone his last Champions League match.

He scored an own goal, but he didn’t get sent off.

Other than that, meh. Porto ought to be a couple up at least.

That half could cure insomnia.  :P

VAR is back to doing forensic analysis again. 😤

Porto should really be two or three up, but we go in 0-0.

Hopefully we stay free of injuries in the second half. These dead games are always a bit weird.

Interesting to watch the development of the younger/fringe players.

Morton... so much promise. Doesn't look out of place at all. Got a gem here.

Neco... unfortunately starting to look like a failed experiment. Nothing against the lad, not done a great deal wrong tonight but the drop off in quality from Trent is immense.

Taki...he's got quality in there somewhere... really want him to kick on.

VAR is, has been, and always will be utter shite.

In the premier league that's onside. In any league it should be onside, incredibly bad decision and it's a good thing that we're already through.

Happy enough with the performance, think we'll nick a winner in the 2nd half.

A decent first half. Unlucky with the offside goal from Mane, lucky Porto didn't score. Something is missing from oir game, that’s clear. It's easy to say we have chosen to rest some key players, but I like that we did. Perfect game for the likes of Morton and Williams. Morton looks the same as he did in the previous games. Calm and it’s as if he has played dozens of games for us already.
