Tsimikas is great for Robbo. Keeps the pressure on but also allows him to have a break.

He just doesn't stop running. He plays at 100% pace 100% of the time.

Yesterday was a different level to a lot of his games this season and it showed. His crossing yesterday was exceptional and a world away from some of his other games earlier in the season where he was crossing straight into the first man. From what i've seen, a lot of peoples concerns weren't wrong, we know what Robbos real level is, no one was saying he's done or no good anymore, just he wasn't playing at his usual level and needed to step it up, yesterday he did exactly that and there are very few teams who can live with Robbo in full flow

Great we have 2 quality players now at left back - Robbo has been absolutely flogged for the past few years . The difference in the lad now with a bit of rest , some lovely link up play on that wing yesterday

saying it’s the competition that has helped makes a few feel better about calling for him to be dropped for Kostas

No doubt a few games off here and there does help mind, but he never stopped being the best left back in the league. Even the best needs a week or two off.

yeah. I think ppl seem to think that the only "rest" players need is physical.

imo the mental load on players is pretty damn significant. the things they need to be awake and aware of usually change a couple of times a week (based on oppo strengths and weaknesses). plus in Robbo's case his Scotland workload of course.

When the team's having shooting drills in training, do they allow Robbo to shoot as well or only as a provider? He has a very good left foot but he seems to have a phobia about scoring when he is in good positions, often opting to pass the ball to someone or he just skies the shot. This I think is an area that's lacking in his game

Agree, unless it is an impossible angle, he should be giving it a thud towards the goal whenever in 10-15 yard range of the goal. I am sure they have run some analytics that passing the ball has better xG or whatever but so would love to see him shoot more.

He was involved in almost every major moment of the game. Played them onside for the opener, assisted the equalizer, scored the second, got sent off. I kept being alternately furious and chuffed with him the whole game.
