But in hindsight, the goal woke us up and pissed us off.. Dominated after they scored..

We have a couple of more goals in us.. nothing to panic about..

Can always bring on the big guns in the last 20 min if really needed..

I don't think it's a conspiracy just ineptitude. Atkinson is a terrible but senior referee and the referee's club generally stick together - they try to avoid overruling each other unless they can't avoid it.

Anyway, we'll get through this but we need to change midfield as Curtis is really struggling out there. Harvey and Milly have been great, but Curtis is looking way off the pace. His day will come for sure, but tonight we need the points so a little 45 minutes from either Thago or Naby won't go amiss. Wouldn't change anything apart from that, our front lads have been good and deserve the chance to bang another couple in.

It’s not bad enough that Atkinson gets the call wrong initially with the foul on Jota it’s that he’s too arrogant to admit they got it wrong and use VAR as it’s meant to be used.

He points to indicate the defender ‘won’ the ball VAR shows clearly he got it wrong. Southampton only get the breakaway because of the foul.

Lads have been brilliant. But for that cheating c*nt Atkinson we’d be winning comfortably. VAR too scared to overrule as it was too long before the goal. Standard of refereeing in this country is awful.

Agree its ineptitude. That makes the decision to keep Atkinson on in order to "train" other Refs as baffling.

Haven't seen a lot of the half but we looked well in control. A bit poor about the foul that led to their goal. VAR said it wasn't a clear error so it depends what they mean (doesn't mean that it wasn't a foul but did VAR think that the referee didn't see what we saw?).

Need to take our chances as I don't want City to have an easy last day. Anything could happen to City so let's make sure that we have an outside chance.

Very pleased with that, more like an FA Cup 4th round game. After their goal we turned the screw and spent the second half of the first half camped in their box.

The defender only touches the ball as Jota is on his knees from being wiped out, its a blatant foul that a biased ref, VAR and two dickhead commentators missed because of narrative
