The incoming Tory Tax Cuts..

Brilliant! With everyone struggling at the moment, a few hundred quid would be most welcome
Maybe a small one, but money should be spent on failing public services
I am an egg and I like cheese and fluffy squirrels called Bob. Bob the Fluffy squirrel is my fave babes.
There shouldn't be a tax cut when public services are already so broken. Keep spending what we are
Far more investment is needed in this country. Spend the money where it's needed now and fuck this stupid Austerity shite.

The Heil is leading today with the fact Bank of England staff work from home 4 days a week, and thats why we have a cost of living crisis, obviously nothing to do with the Tories (in reality I’d say the blame sits with both the BoE and the Tories in pretty equal measure).

I'll be honest and say that I was one of those who found him a bit wet back in 2015 but he was outstanding in the clips shown - literal goosebumps at times.

It felt like a mix of Starmer's clinical nature - tearing apart Johnson on clear facts, figures and his lack of basic knowledge over policies - coupled with the bite and energy that you get from the likes of Rayner.

100% agree that he needs to be a key part of the next campaign.

Politico London Playbook today all about that rapist MP - says their name is generally known in Westminster, plus it was a case two years in the investigation so seems a strong, decisive swoop by the police, to me

Has a bit about other Tories being done for sexual misconduct. As if we need reminded

Quote
Tory sleaze disaster: The number of politicians in Westminster who have been accused of improper conduct ranging from sexual harassment to rape in the last few years is frankly astonishing. It is impossible to escape the reality that the majority of those involved are Conservative politicians.

Imran Ahmad Khan: Found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy. Resigned his Wakefield seat, which will see a by-election on June 23. Khan was defended by fellow Tory MP Crispin Blunt, who announced his intention to stand down days later.

Neil Parish: Admitted twice watching porn in the House of Commons chamber. Resigned his seat in Tiverton, which will also have a by-election on the same day.

David Warburton: Suspended by the Tory party over cocaine and sexual harassment allegations reported by the Sunday Times.

Rob Roberts: Given his Tory membership back despite sexually harassing a staff member, although he still sits in the Commons as an independent.

Andrew Griffiths: The former Tory MP was last year found to have raped and physically abused his wife. Despite the allegations against him, he had the Tory whip reinstated by Theresa May in an attempt to help save her premiership.

Charlie Elphicke: Was jailed for two years after being found guilty of sexually assaulting three women. Natalie Elphicke, his wife and successor in Parliament, remains a Tory Party vice chair despite signing a witness statement accusing the victim of lying. Charlie Elphicke also had support from a “protection racket” of Tory MPs including Theresa Villiers, Bob Stewart, Roger Gale and Adam Holloway.

And that’s without mentioning … the original Pestminster stories back in 2017, which saw the resignations of then-Defense Secretary Michael Fallon over sexual harassment allegations, and then-First Secretary of State Damian Green for lying about what he knew about porn on his office computer. Another former minister, Mark Garnier, was accused by a secretary of asking her to buy sex toys.

There's "56 MPs are facing allegations of sexual misconduct, including three Cabinet ministers and two members of the Shadow Cabinet. Both Johnson and Starmer could come under heavy pressure on these cases in the coming months"

Wow. I mean Labour has had a few nasty cases of sleaze but that number is pretty staggering. 1 in 10 Conservative MPs accused of sexual misconduct (I say misconduct rather than harassment as some are "just" pornography cases). Especially stark after you plow through the list of Tories above.

Basically, good to shine a light on it. Bring em all down. Want to be tough on crime Johnson? Start here. Resign yourself while you're at it

Have you heard of Ronald Forbes Adam?

I was looking up the OOB of the BEF at the start of WWII, and saw that III Corps didn't have a commander listed, so I did some digging. Adam was its commander, and he organised the perimeter at Dunkirk. What might be of more interest to you, is his part in the training and indoctrination of personnel (female as well as male), which were distinctly progressive in form. Leading the establishment to accuse him of being a fullblown Bolshevik. His support of the Army Bureau of Current Affairs was said to have led to the leftward movement of the army's sentiments, leading to the Labour landslide in 1945.

I don't know as much about the left's history as you do, so I don't know if Adam figures much in it. But reading his wiki entry, if he doesn't, then I feel he should do more than he does.

The allegations are supposed to be against a former minister, in his 50's, who joined Parliament in 2001. The MP named by Staines was never a Minister.

Not saying he's wrong - a couple of other online publications have named him - and the information about the Tory being a former minister may be inaccurate.

But if those three characteristics are correct, then there's only one Tory that fits the bill.

I won't name them here, but the suggestion is that he's a general pest, and the little blighter deserves tougher than corporal punishment for a major crime. You mark my words.

A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

I'd never heard of him, so thanks.

I knew about ABCA of course. Many people attributed the massive Labour victory of 1945 to army education being in the hands of left-wingers. And there's no doubt that the vast majority of soldiers did vote (unlike 1918 when the snap 'khaki' election effectively disenfranchised them) and voted Labour.

My favourite story about this is of Churchill in Potsdam (just before he the general election) asking one of his adjutants whether it was true that most of the soldiers would be voting for Attlee and the Labour party. "'Fraid so sir. About 90 per cent of them are socialists." Churchill strokes his chin for a while before saying, "Well at least that gives me 10 per cent". "'Fraid not sir. The other 10 per cent are communists."

Sickening to see all the young wannabe Johnson MPs standing up waving their fists talking in the same style as Johnson. they obviously believe it impresses most Tory voters. strong economy my arse, bottom of the G7, growth stagnating, EU trade plummeting.
Johnson is trying to make the word Taxation into a dirty word just as they made Protectionism into a dirty word.
How else does a government bring in revenue if we have no taxation.?? no revenue then no NHS. Schools etc. this is about who we tax not about Tax being bad, the sickening thing is the Torys are doing the very thing they accuse Labour of doing and that's taxing the man in the street while Labour look for other solutions.
Labours Windfall tax is the most obvious and effective way of helping the public, it won't make all the hurt of inflation go away but it will make a big difference.

But if those three characteristics are correct, then there's only one Tory that fits the bill.

I won't name them here, but the suggestion is that he's a general pest, and the little blighter deserves tougher than corporal punishment for a major crime. You mark my words.

It`s supposedly someone less territorial.

@yorkykopite

I'd never heard of him - but read your Wiki link.

Blimey! What a brilliant person. A totally unsung hero of the country.
A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

Yeah, former head of the CPS will know better, imagine he will be bringing up inflation and hopefully attacking Johnson over risking a trade war with the EU. breaking international Law again.

He might as well say MPs are gossiping amongst each other so denials should be made. maybe the best idea is to stop the gossiping.
It's all over the web but would be stupid to post the name on here. I also assumed it was another MP which turned out to be wrong but I didn't go blabbering his name on here.
