I had a seizure last night reading a transcript of the Ang Lee "joke". I've seen it so many times I almost know it off by heart, but I was weeping with laughter reading through it.

He'd hate this thread and it's nodding and winking at our superiority complex because we "get" Stew. Smug, Stew. Smug. That's what they are Stew, smug because they think they're better than Michael McIntyre fans, Stew. He's funny Stew, he tells real jokes about real things like drawers. Drawers are funny Stew. Why don't you tell some jokes about drawers?

“Jimmy Carr had to take Jim Davidson to task for stealing some of his material. Although, to be honest, if Jim Davidson can steal your material maybe it’s time to think about writing something else. To be fair to Jimmy Carr, it was a kind of sexist bit that he’d written with a sense of irony that Jim Davidson was able to appropriate at face value. One of the kindest things you could say about Jim Davidson as a fellow comic is: he’s not a performer who is troubled by the possibility of duality of meaning”

I can't find the Ang Lee joke on Youtube any more, I want to show it so many people because I simply cannot give it justice by trying to tell it myself.
Any idea where it's available online?

Really enjoying him on 5live, should think there will be a podcast or something available later if people miss it.

Certain Fate... was going for a fiver on Amazon when I got it last week, I hope it's waiting for me when I get home.

Also heard the second series of Comedy Vehicle is being filmed now so it should be back on soon :)

How was it, Okkervil?

Started 'How I Escaped My Certain Fate' this evening. Rattles along at a fair old lick, doesn't it? I'm glad there aren't many comedians like Stewart Lee simply because then he wouldn't be so damn special.

Was excellent. His best stuff since 90's Comedian IMO, which is my favourite show of his. It was a much better way to spend Red Nose Day than watching any of the dross on TV! Had the added bonus of Simon Munnery supporting, so was all good.

Good to hear positive reviews. Hopefully a future trip to the UK will coincide with one of his shows.

Enjoying the comments added to the live transcripts in 'How I Escaped...' It's like having a DVD commentary but like with words and stuff, innit?

Probably due to content and scheduling. According to him, it's going to be closer to his stand up than the last series and the BBC only put stuff like that on after 11 to make sure those idiots who have Points of View on speed dial don't see it.

Fucking brilliant so far, as usual.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.
